Should I buy a 2024 RAM 1500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 36.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.42% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $35,519, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $37,195 average.
• It offers a polished ride and upscale cabin feel.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $42,660, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $37,195 average.
• It adds more tech and stronger powertrain options.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, satisfaction, and current-market availability, the 2024 is the primary path to consider. If you are more price-sensitive, the 2023 is the better secondary option because it undercuts the current-year average while still delivering the Ram 1500’s core comfort and refinement.
