There are 9,722 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for comparison shopping.

Is the 2024 RAM 1500 a good car?

Yes — the 2024 RAM 1500 earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Is the 2024 RAM 1500 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback also points to a dependable ownership experience, with drivers highlighting the truck’s comfortable ride and overall appeal over time. The repeated praise for spaciousness and day-to-day livability suggests this is a model many owners feel good about keeping. For used buyers, that kind of satisfaction can reduce long-term ownership risk, especially if you verify maintenance history and condition before buying.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 RAM 1500?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.3% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and confirm the truck’s service records, especially if you’re shopping higher-mileage examples. Prioritize a thorough inspection of the cabin, suspension, brakes, and any tech features you plan to use regularly. Because this model can be equipped very differently from one listing to the next, focus on overall condition and equipment fit rather than assuming every truck has the same setup.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 RAM 1500?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 36.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 9,722 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.04% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 90.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $34,904, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 RAM 1500's resale value?

The current average of $37,174 sits slightly below last year's $39,565.

That decline suggests the market has eased, which can help you buy more affordably now but may also temper near-term resale gains if you sell soon. If you plan to own the truck for several years, the softer pricing can work in your favor on the front end. If you’re thinking about resale, condition and trim choice will matter even more because the market is already pricing in some depreciation.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 RAM 1500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 36.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.3% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.04% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $36,113, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $37,174 average.
• It emphasizes comfort and refinement with a polished cabin and strong ride quality.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $43,383, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $37,174 average.
• It adds a major update with more tech and new powertrain options.

The bottom line: The 2024 is the best all-around choice if you want strong owner satisfaction, broad inventory, and softer pricing than a year ago. If you’re more price-sensitive, the 2023 is the smarter value play, while the 2025 makes sense if you want the newer update and are willing to pay more.
