Is the 2024 RAM 1500 a good car?

Yes — the 2024 RAM 1500 earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its spacious interior and comfortable ride, and many also like the features and performance. For you, that means this truck fits especially well if you want full-size pickup capability with a more refined, upscale feel for daily driving, family use, or mixed-duty ownership. With 34.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market still offers some attractive opportunities.

Is the 2024 RAM 1500 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback also emphasizes a comfortable ride and a generally dependable ownership experience, with drivers repeatedly highlighting the truck’s spacious cabin and overall appeal. That kind of feedback suggests you can count on it for regular use, especially if you value comfort as much as capability. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure the specific truck you choose has been maintained well and matches its advertised condition.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 RAM 1500?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.6% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report so you can confirm the truck’s background and verify there are no hidden issues. Put inspection priority on the ride, cabin condition, and any features that matter most to you, since comfort and equipment are major reasons people choose this model. It also makes sense to focus on how the truck was used, because a full-size pickup can vary a lot in wear depending on whether it saw light commuting or harder work.

What is the 2024 RAM 1500's resale value?

The current average of $37,363 sits slightly below last year's $40,009.

That softer pricing can help you buy more efficiently now, but it also means future resale will depend heavily on how well the truck holds demand after purchase. If you keep mileage reasonable and choose a well-equipped, well-kept example, you improve your odds of stronger resale later. The current market also suggests buyers are still interested in this model, which helps support future value.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 RAM 1500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 34.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.6% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.62% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $36,554, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $37,363 average.
• It offers a more upscale feel with strong ride quality and premium interior materials.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $43,883, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $37,363 average.
• It adds a major update with more tech and new powertrain options.

The bottom line: You should start with the 2024 if you want the best balance of price, satisfaction, and available inventory. If you’re more price-sensitive, the 2023 is the smarter value play, while the 2025 makes sense if you want the newer update and are willing to pay more for it.
