Is the 2024 Nissan Pathfinder a good car?

Yes — the 4.75/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. The 2024 Pathfinder stands out as a midsize SUV that blends family-friendly practicality with a more rugged personality than its comfort-first reputation might suggest. It offers three rows of seats and a spacious interior, and it remains appealing if you want versatility without giving up everyday comfort. It also has a strong towing reputation, which helps it feel more capable than many rivals in the class. For shoppers who want a comfortable, well-equipped three-row SUV with useful capability and a strong balance of space, technology, and towing strength, it fits the brief well. 38.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests decent market opportunity.

Is the 2024 Nissan Pathfinder reliable?

Owners rate it 4.75/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. The 2024 Pathfinder leans on the strengths of its latest redesign, including a boxier look, a smooth ride, and a cabin that feels more modern than before. Standard equipment includes a digital instrument cluster and a nine-inch infotainment touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, while higher trims can add features such as quilted leather upholstery, a panoramic sunroof, and a head-up display. It also offers front-wheel drive as standard, with all-wheel drive available, plus seven terrain modes for drivers who want extra confidence away from pavement. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that its below-average fuel economy can add up over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Nissan Pathfinder?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report to confirm the listing’s background and spot any prior damage or title issues. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection so you can check the drivetrain, electronics, tires, brakes, and suspension before you commit. Focus on overall condition and maintenance records, especially if you’re comparing higher-mileage examples or trims with more equipment.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Nissan Pathfinder?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 38.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 6,078 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.68% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 91.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $30,838, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Nissan Pathfinder's resale value?

The current average of $30,838 sits slightly below last year's $34,915.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy more confidently today. If you plan to resell later, the current softness may limit near-term appreciation, but it can also make the vehicle easier to move if you buy at the right price. Strong demand for well-kept examples should still support resale, especially when the vehicle presents cleanly and has a good ownership history.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.75/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Nissan Pathfinder or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 38.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.68% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.75/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $30,356, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $30,838 average.
• It adds the Rock Creek edition for a tougher look and feel.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $33,450, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $30,838 average.
• It adds slight updates that make the SUV a bit more appealing.

The bottom line: The 2024 is the best all-around pick if you want the current-year balance of price, satisfaction, and market availability. If you’re especially price-sensitive, the 2023 is the smarter value play because it undercuts the current average while keeping much of the same family-friendly appeal.
