Is the 2024 Nissan Pathfinder a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Nissan Pathfinder earns a 4.8/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. It stands out as a family-focused midsize SUV with a spacious cabin for eight, easier third-row access than usual, and a comfortable ride. You also get useful capability, including available all-wheel drive and up to 6,000 lbs of towing capacity, which makes it appealing if you want a three-row SUV that can handle daily family duty and weekend hauling. 39.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you a decent chance to find value.

Is the 2024 Nissan Pathfinder reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. The 2024 Pathfinder’s appeal is rooted in its current-generation strengths: a proven V6, a nine-speed transmission, available all-wheel drive, and a cabin built around comfort and practicality. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about novelty and more about making sure the vehicle has been maintained well, since you want a clean example of a family SUV that may have seen heavy daily use.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Nissan Pathfinder?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.5% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report to confirm there are no hidden incidents, title issues, or repeated service gaps. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that checks the drivetrain, brakes, tires, and interior wear, especially if the SUV has been used for family hauling or towing. Focus on overall condition and maintenance records, since a well-kept example will matter more than small cosmetic differences.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Nissan Pathfinder?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to shop carefully without rushing.

• Deal availability: 39.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 6,087 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.44% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 90.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $30,365, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Nissan Pathfinder's resale value?

The current average of $30,365 sits slightly below last year's $34,287.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable point in the cycle. If you plan to sell later, a lower entry price can reduce depreciation pressure compared with buying when prices are elevated. Strong demand for a well-equipped three-row SUV can still support future resale, especially if you choose a clean, well-maintained example.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Nissan Pathfinder or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 39.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.5% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.44% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $29,419, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $30,365 average.
• It adds a rugged Rock Creek option.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $32,442, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $30,365 average.
• It leans into value and practicality with slight updates.

The bottom line: You should start with the 2024 if you want the best balance of price, inventory, and owner satisfaction. If your priority is saving money, the 2023 is the better secondary path; if you want to spend more for a newer model-year alternative, the 2025 is worth a look.
