How much does the 2024 Mercedes-Benz G-Class cost?

Prices have softened 4.42% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 866 listings available, which gives you a meaningful amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2024 Mercedes-Benz G-Class a good car?

Yes — the 5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction for this model year. The overview shows a vehicle that combines its iconic military-inspired shape with modern luxury and technology, while still delivering serious off-road capability. It also emphasizes that you get a distinctive SUV with a cabin loaded with modern tech, which makes it appealing if you want something that stands apart from typical luxury SUVs. With 33.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Mercedes-Benz G-Class reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview suggests a vehicle built around proven luxury and off-road capability, with modern infotainment and strong four-wheel-drive hardware. It also notes that the G-Class is expensive to buy and expensive to keep, so used ownership risk is less about basic appeal and more about higher running costs over time. For used buyers, that means you should plan for premium ownership expenses even if the vehicle itself remains highly desirable.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Mercedes-Benz G-Class?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.7% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report so you can confirm title status, prior damage, and service patterns. Put inspection priority on the vehicle’s condition, especially signs of hard use, because this model’s appeal often overlaps with demanding ownership and premium repair costs. Focus on how well the cabin, electronics, and off-road hardware have been maintained, since those areas matter most for a luxury SUV like this.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Mercedes-Benz G-Class?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 33.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 866 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.42% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 94.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $176,585, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Mercedes-Benz G-Class's resale value?

The current average of $176,585 sits slightly below last year's $184,745.

That price movement suggests the market has eased a bit, which can help you buy more strategically today but may also limit near-term upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, the key takeaway is that this model’s value is still supported by strong desirability, but the current market is not showing appreciation. If you buy well and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you improve your odds of holding value better than the average used luxury SUV.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Mercedes-Benz G-Class or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 33.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.7% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.42% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $190,185, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $176,585 average.
• It adds refreshed powertrains and updated tech.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2024 if you want the stronger value proposition and a broader pool of listings to compare. If you’re price-sensitive, the 2024 is the better starting point because it combines a lower average price with solid deal availability and strong owner satisfaction. The 2025 makes sense if you specifically want the refresh and are willing to pay more for it.
