How much does the 2024 Mercedes-Benz CLE cost?

Is the 2024 Mercedes-Benz CLE a good car?

The 2024 Mercedes-Benz CLE earns an expert rating of 7.17/10 and is positioned as a polished two-door that replaces both the C-Class and E-Class coupes and convertibles. It is described as sized just right, with the comfort, technology, and refinement you expect from Mercedes-Benz, and it is aimed at buyers who want style and driving enjoyment in a shrinking four-seater coupe segment.

The model scores 8/10 across Look and feel and Technology.

Its strengths are clear: it is comfortable, easy to use, and fun to drive, with impressive technology and standout design. The main tradeoff is limited cargo space, so you should expect style and refinement to come before practicality.

The market also looks reasonably supportive, with 32.7% of listings marked as good or great deals.

Is the 2024 Mercedes-Benz CLE reliable?

The 2024 Mercedes-Benz CLE is presented as a polished, well-sorted luxury coupe and convertible with the comfort and refinement you expect from the brand. Its expert evaluation emphasizes smooth operation, composed road manners, and technology that works as intended, which all point to a reassuring ownership experience.

The performance notes are especially encouraging: the base turbocharged four-cylinder is described as unusually smooth and quiet, while the inline-six is even smoother and still tuned for comfort. In testing, the systems operated as they should, and the adaptive cruise control was praised for its smooth behavior in traffic.

Mercedes also includes a first-rate ownership touch in the form of a first scheduled maintenance visit that is on the house. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about mechanical drama and more about the usual premium-car cost exposure if you skip careful maintenance history checks.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Mercedes-Benz CLE?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 95.5% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on a luxury two-door where electronics, trim condition, and wear items can matter more than mileage alone. Focus on how the cabin materials, infotainment, and driver-assistance features function, and make sure the car’s condition matches its asking price.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The CLE is available as either a coupe or Cabriolet, and the AMG CLE 53 variant adds a more aggressive look with a wider stance, wider fender flares, and a racier nose. The base model is the most comfort-focused, while the AMG version is the one for buyers who want the most dramatic styling and performance character.
• Powertrain: The CLE 300 4Matic uses a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with a 48-volt mild hybrid system, while the CLE 450 4Matic upgrades to a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six. The AMG CLE 53 uses the turbo six with substantially more output and a driver-actuated overboost function.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes frontal collision warning with automatic emergency braking, parking proximity sensors, a blind-spot monitor, a semi-automated parking system, automatic high beams, and a driver attention monitor. Available upgrades include adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, cross-traffic collision alert, evasive steering assist, a surround-view camera system, an integrated dashcam, and a low-level automated highway driving system.
• Infotainment: The CLE uses an 11.9-inch infotainment touchscreen with Mercedes’ MBUX system, plus wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Augmented reality navigation is available, and the system also supports voice control through “Hey Mercedes.”
• Fuel efficiency: No fuel-economy figure is stated in the provided data.

Which 2024 Mercedes-Benz CLE trim should I buy?

The 2024 Mercedes-Benz CLE is offered in 3 trim levels: CLE 300 4Matic, CLE 450 4Matic, AMG CLE 53.

Here's the short version:

• CLE 300 4Matic: This is the value play if you want the CLE’s comfort, smoothness, and standard all-wheel drive without paying for extra power you may not need. It should suit you best if you care more about luxury cruising than outright speed.
• CLE 450 4Matic: This is the best-value trim if you want the CLE’s character with noticeably stronger performance and smoother engine refinement. It is the one to target if you want the most balanced mix of power and everyday livability.
• AMG CLE 53: This is the choice if you want the most aggressive styling and the strongest performance in the lineup. It makes the most sense if you’re willing to trade some comfort for a more serious enthusiast feel.

The safety package is comprehensive on the standard car, while several advanced driver-assistance features remain optional.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Mercedes-Benz CLE?

The market looks moderately favorable if you’re a selective buyer, with enough inventory and a meaningful share of listings priced attractively.

• Deal availability: 32.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 397 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.97% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 95.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $56,667, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Mercedes-Benz CLE's resale value?

The current average of $56,930 sits slightly below last year's $58,075.

That softer pricing suggests the CLE is currently more buyer-friendly than it was a year ago. If you buy well now, you may have a better chance of limiting your depreciation exposure compared with shopping when prices were higher.

For a future seller, the key takeaway is that premium two-door models can hold appeal when they’re well equipped and well kept, but they still depend heavily on condition and mileage. A clean history and strong maintenance record should matter a lot when it’s time to resell.

Is the 2024 Mercedes-Benz CLE safe?

The 2024 Mercedes-Benz CLE does not yet have crash test results from NHTSA or IIHS.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard advanced safety features include frontal collision warning with automatic emergency braking, parking proximity sensors, a blind-spot monitor, a semi-automated parking system, automatic high beams, and a driver attention monitor. Available upgrades include adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, cross-traffic collision alert, evasive steering assist, a surround-view camera system, an integrated dashcam, and a low-level automated highway driving system.

Should I buy a 2024 Mercedes-Benz CLE or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 32.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 95.5% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.97% compared with last year.
• It launches the CLE nameplate with strong tech, comfort, and a broad three-model lineup.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $64,151, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $56,930 average.
• It adds three trims and broader powertrain choice.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2024 is the smarter starting point because it already delivers the CLE’s core strengths at a lower average price. If you want more model-year breadth and don’t mind paying more, the 2025 is the better path.
