Used 2024 Mazda CX-50 for Sale nearLas Vegas, NV

How much does the 2024 Mazda CX-50 cost?

Prices are up 1.56% year-over-year — a sign of continued demand for this model year.

There are 4,515 listings available, which suggests you have a healthy amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2024 Mazda CX-50 a good car?

Yes — you’re looking at a model with a 4.8/5 user rating and a 6.8/10 expert rating. The CX-50 is positioned as a rugged-leaning compact crossover that balances everyday usability with a more upscale feel, thanks to its stylish design, standard all-wheel drive, and classy interior design. It’s aimed at buyers who want practical day-to-day use with a tougher look rather than a standout personality.

The trade-offs are clear: performance is fairly pedestrian, and value for money is weak relative to what you pay. Even so, the CX-50’s standard AWD and upscale cabin help it make sense if you care more about style and usability than outright excitement.

40.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Mazda CX-50 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. The CX-50’s overall package points to solid everyday dependability: it uses a conventional 2.5-liter four-cylinder setup, standard all-wheel drive, and a six-speed automatic, which keeps the mechanical formula straightforward. Its safety equipment is also comprehensive, which usually helps reduce ownership stress.

The performance notes describe it as a good daily driver, and the cost-effectiveness notes show warranty coverage that is in line with mainstream competitors. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that the CX-50’s value proposition is only average, so you’ll want to be sure the specific vehicle’s condition and equipment justify the asking price.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Mazda CX-50?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the vehicle history report carefully, because a clean listing percentage doesn’t replace a proper records review. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage example or one with optional equipment. Focus on overall condition, tire wear, brake condition, and whether the cabin and exterior show signs of harder use.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The CX-50 spans a wide range of trims, from the 2.5 S Select through the 2.5 Turbo Premium Plus. Base models are the most stripped-down, with manually adjustable front seats standing out as a reminder that lower trims are less upscale than the higher grades.
• Powertrain: You get a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, with turbocharging on higher trims. The base engine makes 187 horsepower and 186 pound-feet of torque, while turbo models are much stronger and also raise towing capacity to 3,500 pounds.
• Safety package: Standard driver-assist tech includes automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, a driver attention monitor, and emergency lane-keeping with road-keep assist. Rear automatic braking, traffic-jam assist, and a 360-degree camera system are optional.
• Infotainment: A 10.25-inch infotainment screen is standard, along with wireless Apple CarPlay. Android Auto requires a cable, and higher trims add wireless phone charging, SiriusXM satellite radio, and a 12-speaker Bose audio system.
• Fuel efficiency: The base engine is EPA-rated at 27 mpg combined, including 24 mpg city and 30 mpg highway. The turbo engine drops to 25 mpg combined, with 23 mpg city and 29 mpg highway.

Which 2024 Mazda CX-50 trim should I buy?

The 2024 Mazda CX-50 is offered in 8 trim levels: 2.5 S Select, 2.5 S Preferred, 2.5 S Premium, 2.5 S Premium Plus, 2.5 Turbo, 2.5 Turbo Meridian Edition, 2.5 Turbo Premium, and 2.5 Turbo Premium Plus.

Here's the short version:

• 2.5 S Select: This is the entry point, and it gives you the CX-50’s core appeal: standard AWD, the 10.25-inch display, and the rugged styling that defines the model. It makes sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the lineup, but it’s also the trim where the cabin feels most basic.
• 2.5 S Preferred: This is the trim to target if you want a better balance of equipment and value without jumping into turbo pricing. It should be the first stop for most used shoppers because it improves the everyday experience without chasing the highest sticker.
• 2.5 S Premium: This trim moves you further up the comfort and tech ladder, making the CX-50 feel more polished for daily use. It’s a good fit if you want more amenities but don’t need turbo power.
• 2.5 S Premium Plus: This is for buyers who want a more fully equipped non-turbo CX-50 and are willing to pay for it. It’s the right choice if you care more about features and cabin feel than outright performance.
• 2.5 Turbo: This is the best pick if you want the strongest performance jump in the lineup. The turbo engine transforms the CX-50’s pace and also increases towing capacity, so it’s the one to choose if you want more capability.
• 2.5 Turbo Meridian Edition: This trim leans hardest into the CX-50’s outdoorsy image with all-terrain tires, a black hood graphic, and more pronounced rocker-panel trim. It suits you if the rugged look matters more than quiet-road refinement.
• 2.5 Turbo Premium: This is the better-value turbo choice if you want stronger performance plus more equipment without going all the way to the top. It’s the sweet spot for shoppers who want the turbo engine but don’t need every available feature.
• 2.5 Turbo Premium Plus: This is the most fully equipped version and the one to buy if you want the most upscale CX-50 experience. It’s the top choice for shoppers who want maximum content and don’t mind paying for it.

Standard safety equipment is strong across the lineup, while rear automatic braking, traffic-jam assist, and a 360-degree camera remain optional.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Mazda CX-50?

The market looks moderate and selective, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 40.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 4,515 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 1.56% year-over-year.
• Clean inventory: 89.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $25,824, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Mazda CX-50's resale value?

The current average of $27,328 sits slightly above last year's $26,908.

That upward move suggests the CX-50 has held demand reasonably well in the used market. For a future seller, that’s a helpful sign because it indicates buyers are still willing to pay near the current market average for the right example. The year-over-year increase also suggests the model has avoided a sharp value drop, which can support stronger resale performance if your vehicle is well kept.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Mazda CX-50 safe?

The CX-50 was named a 2023 Top Safety Pick by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), and it received a five-star frontal crash-test rating and four-star rollover crash-test rating from NHTSA.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Mazda’s standard driver-assistance suite includes automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, a driver attention monitor, and emergency lane-keeping with road-keep assist. Rear automatic braking, traffic-jam assist, and a 360-degree camera system are optional. The main caveat is that the standard headlights were only rated “Average,” and the nighttime pedestrian-prevention result was the lowest “Basic” score.

Should I buy a 2024 Mazda CX-50 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 40.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices are up 1.56% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It keeps the rugged styling, standard AWD, and upscale cabin that define the CX-50.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $25,469, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $27,328 average.
• It launched the CX-50 with active-lifestyle styling and practical space.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $28,126, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $27,328 average.
• It adds a hybrid powertrain for better efficiency and a more upscale feel.

The bottom line: If you want the CX-50’s rugged style and standard AWD, the 2024 is the cleanest middle ground. If price matters most, the 2023 is the smarter value play; if efficiency is your priority, the 2025 is the better long-term target.
