Used 2024 Mazda CX-30 for Sale nearNorfolk, VA

How much does the 2024 Mazda CX-30 cost?

Prices have softened 4.00% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 4,790 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for shoppers comparing prices and trims.

Is the 2024 Mazda CX-30 a good car?

Yes — it earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.7/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Safety at 10/10.

The 2024 CX-30 is a strong fit if you want a small crossover that feels stylish, refined, and rewarding to drive. Mazda positions it as a compact SUV with an upscale cabin, expressive design, and engaging handling, while the available turbocharged engine adds more power for buyers who want extra performance.

The main trade-offs are familiar for this class: rear-seat room and cargo space are tight, and the turbocharged version is noted for poor fuel economy. Even so, the CX-30’s blend of style, safety, and driving enjoyment makes it appealing if you value polish over maximum space.

Good and great deals: 34.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Mazda CX-30 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The CX-30’s appeal comes from its combination of refinement, standard all-wheel drive, and a well-rounded feature set. Mazda also emphasizes strong safety credentials and a premium-feeling interior, which can help the vehicle feel durable and satisfying over time.

Its standard powertrain is described as offering good power for the segment with decent gas mileage, while the turbocharged version is more about rewarding performance than efficiency. If you choose the turbo, expect higher running costs from fuel use.

For used buyers, the biggest long-term ownership risk is that the most powerful versions can be less economical to live with, especially if you drive a lot.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Mazda CX-30?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the report carefully, because a clean listing percentage does not replace a full history review. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on the cabin, cargo area, and any signs of hard use, since this model’s space is limited and condition matters. If you’re considering a turbo model, pay extra attention to fuel-economy expectations and whether the added performance is worth the trade-off for your driving habits.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The CX-30 lineup includes standard 2.5 S models and turbocharged 2.5 Turbo models, with the turbo versions adding more power and upscale equipment. The cabin is praised for style and refinement, but the base setup still reflects the model’s compact packaging, so make sure the trim you choose has the features you want rather than assuming they all match the higher-end versions.
• Powertrain: The standard 191-horsepower 2.5-liter four-cylinder is the better pick if you care about fuel economy, while the turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder delivers up to 250 hp and stronger performance. The turbo is the more rewarding choice if you want extra punch, but it comes with worse fuel economy.
• Safety package: Every version includes blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, rear-seat alert, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assistance, and adaptive cruise control. Higher trims add adaptive headlights, and the top Turbo Premium Plus adds front and rear parking sensors with automatic braking, rear automatic braking, a surround-view camera system, and Cruising and Traffic Support.
• Infotainment: Turbocharged versions get a 10.25-inch infotainment display, while other models use an 8.8-inch screen. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are available, and the larger screen adds touchscreen functionality when using those smartphone-mirroring platforms.
• Fuel efficiency: The turbocharged engine is described as returning 25 mpg in combined driving, and the standard engine is described as offering decent gas mileage.

Which 2024 Mazda CX-30 trim should I buy?

The 2024 Mazda CX-30 is offered in 8 trim levels: 2.5 S, 2.5 S Select Sport, 2.5 S Preferred, 2.5 S Carbon Edition, 2.5 S Premium, 2.5 Carbon Turbo, 2.5 Turbo Premium, 2.5 Turbo Premium Plus.

Here's the short version:

• 2.5 S: This is the entry point, and it gives you the CX-30’s core appeal: standard all-wheel drive, strong safety equipment, and the stylish, refined character that defines the model. It makes sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the lineup and don’t need the extra power or luxury touches.
• 2.5 S Select Sport: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds more of the CX-30’s desirable everyday equipment without jumping into turbo pricing. It’s the trim to target if you want a balanced mix of value, style, and features.
• 2.5 S Preferred: Choose this if you want a more upscale feel and are willing to pay for comfort-oriented upgrades. It suits buyers who want the CX-30 to feel a little more premium without going all the way to the turbo models.
• 2.5 S Carbon Edition: This is for shoppers who care about appearance and want a more distinctive look. It leans into the CX-30’s style-first personality.
• 2.5 S Premium: Pick this if you want a richer feature set and are comfortable paying more for convenience and tech. It’s a good fit if you plan to keep the vehicle longer and want a more complete ownership experience.
• 2.5 Carbon Turbo: This is the enthusiast-leaning choice if you want the turbocharged engine’s stronger performance and don’t mind the fuel-economy penalty. It’s the trim that best captures the CX-30’s sporty side.
• 2.5 Turbo Premium: This is the better choice if you want turbo power plus more upscale equipment. It’s aimed at buyers who want performance and comfort together.
• 2.5 Turbo Premium Plus: This is the top choice if you want the most advanced safety and convenience features, including the surround-view camera system and parking-assist hardware. It’s the right pick if you want the most fully equipped CX-30.

Move up the trim-level ladder to access adaptive headlights, and the most expensive Turbo Premium Plus adds front and rear parking sensors with automatic braking, rear automatic braking, a surround-view camera system, and Cruising and Traffic Support.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Mazda CX-30?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop carefully and still find value.

• Deal availability: 34.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 4,790 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.00% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 88.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $22,222, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Mazda CX-30's resale value?

The current average of $23,181 sits slightly below last year's $24,148.

That softer pricing suggests the CX-30 is currently more buyer-friendly than it was a year ago. For a future seller, that means you may not see the same short-term appreciation you would in a tighter market, but the lower entry price can help support demand from shoppers looking for value.

The model’s strong safety reputation, upscale feel, and broad appeal should help it remain attractive to used buyers. If you buy well now and keep the vehicle in good condition, those traits can help support resale strength later.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Mazda CX-30 safe?

The 2024 Mazda CX-30 earns a Top Safety Pick+ rating from IIHS and five-star ratings in every NHTSA assessment except rollover resistance, where it gets a four-star rating.

It earns a 10/10 safety score from our experts.

Every version includes blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert and a rear-seat alert system, along with forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assistance, and adaptive cruise control. Higher trims add adaptive headlights, and the top Turbo Premium Plus adds front and rear parking sensors with automatic braking, rear automatic braking, a surround-view camera system, and Cruising and Traffic Support.

One caveat is that the automatic curve speed reduction technology can feel too aggressive in real-world driving.

Should I buy a 2024 Mazda CX-30 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 34.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.00% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• This year adds new Select Sport and Carbon Turbo trims, USB-C charging ports, and an available larger infotainment screen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $23,348, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $23,181 average.
• It offers a classy interior and enjoyable driving dynamics.

The bottom line: The 2024 is the better default choice because it brings updated trims, added tech, and a lower average price than the 2023. If you’re shopping on a tighter budget, the 2023 can still make sense, but the 2024 gives you the stronger mix of value, features, and current-market pricing.
