The current average of $45,814 sits slightly below last year's $46,803.

That tells you the market has eased a bit, which can help you buy more selectively now. For a future seller, the recent softening suggests resale value may depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle is documented. If you keep the car clean, maintained, and accident-free, you’ll be in a stronger position when it’s time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Lexus NX Hybrid or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 43.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.11% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2024 is the better choice if you want a strong mix of owner satisfaction, healthy inventory, and a market that has softened enough to create negotiating room. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years to see whether a lower entry price outweighs the 2024’s stronger deal availability and clean-inventory profile.
