Accident-free inventory is solid at 81.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then inspect the car closely for signs of prior damage, uneven wear, or poor repairs. Focus on overall condition, since a clean listing can still hide issues that only show up in person or on a pre-purchase inspection.

That small decline suggests the market has stayed fairly stable, which is helpful if you're thinking about future trade-in or private-sale value. A steady price pattern can make it easier to estimate what the car may be worth later, especially if demand remains consistent. Strong owner satisfaction can also help support resale interest over time.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Kia Forte or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 31.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 81.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $18,025, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $18,843 average.
• It offers strong value with more for the money than many rivals.

The bottom line: If you want the newer model year with stable pricing and solid inventory quality, the 2024 is the better default choice. If your priority is saving money up front, the 2023 is the more budget-friendly path and still brings strong value.
