How much does the 2024 Kia EV9 cost?

There are 686 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2024 Kia EV9 a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Kia EV9 earns a 5/5 user rating and an 8.5/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Technology at 10/10.

The EV9 stands out as Kia’s all-new flagship and one of the few fully electric three-row SUVs, so you get family-size space without giving up electric power. It also brings a modern, distinctive design and a refreshingly familiar driving experience, which makes it easier to live with than some EVs.

The main trade-offs are that it is expensive and its electric range is only medium. Even so, the EV9’s spacious third row, well-appointed cabin, and intuitive driving feel make it a strong fit if you want a practical three-row EV with a premium feel.

36.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2024 Kia EV9 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The EV9 is described as a new vehicle with a familiar driving experience, and its electric powertrain is presented as smooth and refined. The regenerative braking can be tuned to feel natural, including one-pedal driving, which is a good sign for everyday usability.

Kia also highlights the ability to add features later through its connected store, which can help you adapt the vehicle over time. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure the battery and charging behavior still match your needs as the vehicle ages.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Kia EV9?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.5% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on an EV with a large battery and advanced electronics. Focus on overall condition, charging performance, and whether the vehicle’s features and trim-specific equipment still work as expected.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The EV9’s design and cabin presentation vary by trim, and the top two trims add a Digital Pattern Lighting Grille. Base-trim shoppers should pay close attention to feature gaps such as the lighting treatment and other equipment that appears higher up the range.
• Powertrain: The base Light trim uses a single rear motor with rear-wheel drive, while the higher trims use dual motors and all-wheel drive. Output and range vary by version, with the Light Long Range emphasizing distance and the GT-Line emphasizing stronger torque.
• Safety package: The EV9’s standard driver-assistance suite includes navigation-based adaptive cruise control with machine learning and stop-and-go capability, blind-spot collision avoidance assist, blind-spot collision warning, and forward and rear cross-traffic collision avoidance functions. Blind-spot View Monitor is limited to Land and GT-Line, and some parking-collision features are reserved for the top trims.
• Infotainment: You get a three-screen curved display with a 12.3-inch driver display, a 5-inch climate display, and a 12.3-inch infotainment screen. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, along with a wireless charging pad and OTA update capability.
• Range & charging: The base Light is rated at 230 miles, the Light Long Range at 304 miles, the dual-motor Wind and Land at 280 miles, and the GT-Line at 270 miles. The Light Long Range uses a 99.8-kWh battery pack, and Kia says the EV9 should charge from 10 to 80 percent in 25 minutes on a high-speed DC fast charger.
• Battery health: On a used EV, you should check battery state-of-health, confirm how the vehicle has typically been charged, and review how much battery warranty coverage remains. A vehicle that has mostly seen home charging and has a clean charging history is generally easier to own than one with unclear fast-charging habits.

Which 2024 Kia EV9 trim should I buy?

The 2024 Kia EV9 is offered in 5 trim levels: Light, Light Long Range, Wind, Land, GT-Line.

Here's the short version:

• Light: This is the entry point and the least expensive way into the EV9, with rear-wheel drive, a single motor, and the core EV9 experience. It makes sense if you want the model’s space and style without paying for the higher-output dual-motor trims.
• Light Long Range: This is the best-value choice for many shoppers because it adds the longest range in the lineup at 304 miles while keeping the simpler single-motor setup. If range matters most, this is the trim to target.
• Wind: This is the first dual-motor all-wheel-drive trim, so it brings stronger output and a more traction-focused setup. It suits you if you want AWD and don’t need the extra equipment of the upper trims.
• Land: This trim adds more upscale equipment, including the Blind-spot View Monitor and the 14-speaker Meridian Premium Audio system. It’s a good middle ground if you want a richer feature set without going all the way to the top trim.
• GT-Line: This is the most powerful and most fully equipped version, with the strongest torque, the shortest range of the group, and standard head-up display. Choose it if you want the most premium EV9 experience and are willing to pay for it.

The safety package is comprehensive across the lineup, but some features are reserved for Land and GT-Line, and the reverse parking collision avoidance features are limited to the top two trims.

• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.03% compared with last year.

What is the 2024 Kia EV9's resale value?

The current average of $42,204 sits slightly below last year's $45,891.

That price movement suggests the EV9 has already given back some value from its earlier level, which can help you as a buyer today. For a future seller, it means resale will likely depend on how well the market continues to value three-row EVs, especially as more options enter the segment.

The EV9’s strong feature set and distinctive positioning should help it stay appealing to shoppers who want a family EV with real space. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Its standard driver-assistance suite is comprehensive, with navigation-based adaptive cruise control, blind-spot collision avoidance assist, blind-spot collision warning, forward collision avoidance, and rear cross-traffic collision avoidance. Blind-spot View Monitor is limited to Land and GT-Line, and reverse parking collision avoidance assist is reserved for the top two trims, with front and side versions limited to GT-Line.

Should I buy a 2024 Kia EV9 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 36.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.5% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.03% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The EV9 is Kia’s all-new flagship and one of very few fully electric three-row SUVs, which gives this year a uniquely strong identity.

The bottom line: If you want the EV9’s newest design, strong tech, and rare three-row EV packaging, the 2024 is the clear starting point. If you’re more price-sensitive, keep shopping the market closely and focus on listings near the low end of the range, where the softened pricing can work in your favor.
