Used 2024 Kia Carnival for Sale nearMacon, GA

How much does the 2024 Kia Carnival cost?

Prices have softened 8.69% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,790 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2024 Kia Carnival a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Kia Carnival earns a 4.75/5 user rating and an 8.17/10 expert rating.

The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Performance, Form and function, and Cost effectiveness.

You get a family hauler that feels more distinctive than the typical minivan, with SUV-like styling, a powerful V6, and strong value for money. It also carries over unchanged for 2024, so you’re shopping a familiar formula rather than a heavily revised one.

The main trade-offs are a lack of all-wheel drive and a cabin that still leans heavily on plastic even in higher trims.

With 36.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Kia Carnival reliable?

Owners rate it 4.75/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Carnival’s appeal here starts with its excellent warranty coverage and continues with a powertrain that’s described as refined and smooth in everyday use. The V6 and eight-speed automatic are tuned for easy driving, and the ride is comfortable enough for long trips.

Its dependability story is also helped by the straightforward mechanical setup: a conventional V6, a conventional automatic transmission, and front-wheel drive. That simplicity can be a plus for used buyers who want fewer moving parts than a hybrid or more complex drivetrain.

For used ownership, the biggest long-term risk is that the Carnival’s mixed safety record and seat-folding inconvenience may matter more as the vehicle ages and sees heavier family use.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Kia Carnival?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 88% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the vehicle history report carefully, even when the listing looks clean. A pre-purchase inspection should focus on the condition of the seats, interior plastics, and any signs of heavy family use, since this is the kind of vehicle that tends to live a hard life.

Pay close attention to how the cabin features work in practice, especially if you plan to use the second and third rows often. It’s also worth confirming that the trim level matches the equipment you expect, because some features are reserved for higher grades.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Base LX models get cloth seats, while EX and SX models get leatherette upholstery and SX Prestige trims get real leather upholstery. Heated and ventilated first-row and second-row seats, as well as dual sunroofs, are available, but the cabin remains mostly plastic even in the SX Prestige.
• Powertrain: The Carnival is offered only with a 3.5-liter V6 engine, an eight-speed automatic transmission, and front-wheel drive. There is no all-wheel drive option and no hybrid powertrain.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keep assist, a driver attention monitor, automatic high beams, forward collision warning, and automatic emergency braking. Higher trims add adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go functionality, Highway Driving Assist, a surround-view camera system, and a blind-spot camera system.
• Infotainment: The base LX trim gets an 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Other trims upgrade to a 12.3-inch touchscreen and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, but those versions use wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
• Fuel efficiency: The Carnival is EPA-rated at 22 mpg combined, 19 mpg city, and 26 mpg highway.

Which 2024 Kia Carnival trim should I buy?

The 2024 Kia Carnival is offered in 4 trim levels: LX, EX, SX, SX Prestige.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the entry point, and it gives you the Carnival’s core strengths at the lowest price. You get the 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus the standard safety equipment. It makes sense if you want the best value and can live without the larger screens and extra comfort features.
• EX: This is the trim that adds more everyday polish without jumping all the way to the top of the range. It brings the larger infotainment setup and leatherette upholstery, making it a strong middle-ground choice for many shoppers.
• SX: This trim adds more equipment and sits above the EX, but it’s mainly for buyers who want more features rather than a fundamentally different driving experience. It also gets the larger screen setup and more upscale cabin touches.
• SX Prestige: This is the most luxurious version, with real leather upholstery and the most premium feel in the lineup. It’s the right pick if you want the most comfort and equipment, though the cabin still doesn’t fully escape its plastic-heavy design.

Higher trims also bring more driver-assistance features, including adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, Highway Driving Assist, a surround-view camera system, and a blind-spot camera system.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Kia Carnival?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market.

• Deal availability: 36.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,790 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.69% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 88.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $31,723, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Kia Carnival's resale value?

The current average of $32,408 sits slightly below last year's $35,494.

That price drop suggests the Carnival has become more approachable for used buyers, which can help support demand if you buy at the right number. For a future seller, the key takeaway is that today’s softer market may leave less room for appreciation, so your best protection is buying near the low end of the range.

The Carnival’s strong value proposition and broad family appeal should help it remain attractive to shoppers who want a roomy, polished minivan alternative. If you buy well and keep mileage and condition in check, you should have a reasonable path to competitive resale.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.75/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Kia Carnival safe?

The 2024 Kia Carnival received mixed scores from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), earning Good ratings in the driver and passenger-side small-overlap front crash tests and in the original moderate-overlap front and side tests, but a Marginal rating in the updated moderate-overlap front test and a Poor rating in the updated side test.

It earns a 5/10 safety score from our experts.

The standard safety suite includes blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keep assist, a driver attention monitor, automatic high beams, forward collision warning, and automatic emergency braking. Higher trims add adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go functionality, Highway Driving Assist, a surround-view camera system, and a blind-spot camera system.

A key caveat is that the headlights for all but the SX Prestige were rated poorly, and the updated IIHS side-impact result is a notable weak point for this model year.

Should I buy a 2024 Kia Carnival or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 36.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 88% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.69% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.75/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It carries over unchanged ahead of a 2025-model-year refresh, so you’re getting a familiar formula with the current V6 setup.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $28,403, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $32,408 average.
• It emphasizes stylish practicality and strong value.

The bottom line: If you want the newer market position and are comfortable paying more for the 2024’s current pricing and inventory, this is the cleaner choice. If your priority is saving money and you’re fine with an older model year that still delivers the Carnival’s core strengths, the 2023 is the value play.
