Used 2024 Kia Carnival for Sale nearColumbus, OH

How much does the 2024 Kia Carnival cost?

Prices have softened 8.78% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,767 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for shoppers comparing prices and trims.

Is the 2024 Kia Carnival a good car?

Yes — it earns a 4.75/5 user rating and an 8.17/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Performance, Form and function, and Cost effectiveness.

The Carnival stands out as a practical family vehicle that feels more polished and distinctive than the usual minivan. Its SUV-like styling, strong driving experience, and powerful V6 help it appeal if you want family-hauling usefulness without a purely utilitarian look.

The trade-offs are clear: you give up all-wheel drive and hybrid efficiency, and the seats are not easy to fold. Even so, it remains a strong value play if you want a well-equipped people mover with a more upscale personality.

38.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Kia Carnival reliable?

Owners rate it 4.75/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Carnival’s appeal is reinforced by Kia’s excellent warranty coverage and its generally polished driving manners. The V6 and conventional automatic transmission are described as refined, and the ride is comfortable enough for long trips.

Its long-term ownership case is helped by the warranty, but you should still weigh the mixed safety results and the lack of hybrid or AWD alternatives when judging used-car risk.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Kia Carnival?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the vehicle history report carefully and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re comparing multiple trims. Focus on condition details that matter in a family hauler, including seat operation, interior wear, and whether the equipment you want is actually present on the trim you’re considering.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Base LX models get cloth seats, while EX and SX models add leatherette upholstery and SX Prestige trims get real leather upholstery. The higher trims also bring more upscale cabin touches, but the interior remains mostly plastic even in SX Prestige.
• Powertrain: The Carnival is offered only with a 3.5-liter V6, an eight-speed automatic transmission, and front-wheel drive. There is no all-wheel drive option and no hybrid powertrain.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keep assist, a driver attention monitor, automatic high beams, forward collision warning, and automatic emergency braking. Higher trims add adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, Highway Driving Assist, a surround-view camera system, and a blind-spot camera system.
• Infotainment: The base LX trim gets an 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Other trims upgrade to a 12.3-inch touchscreen and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, but those versions use wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
• Fuel efficiency: The Carnival is EPA-rated at 22 mpg combined, with 19 mpg city and 26 mpg highway.

Which 2024 Kia Carnival trim should I buy?

The 2024 Kia Carnival is offered in 4 trim levels: LX, EX, SX, and SX Prestige.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the entry point, and it gives you the Carnival’s core value proposition with cloth seats, an 8-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and the standard safety suite. It makes sense if you want the lowest price and can live without the extra comfort and tech upgrades.
• EX: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds leatherette upholstery and moves you up to the larger 12.3-inch touchscreen and digital instrument cluster. It’s the sweet spot if you want a more upscale feel without jumping to the top of the range.
• SX: This trim builds on the EX with more equipment and a stronger premium feel, while also unlocking more available convenience and driver-assistance content. It suits you if you want a richer feature set but do not need the full luxury treatment.
• SX Prestige: This is the most upscale version, with real leather upholstery and the most premium presentation in the lineup. It’s the right pick if you want the most fully equipped Carnival and are willing to pay for it.

Higher trims add more driver-assistance features, including adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, Highway Driving Assist, a surround-view camera system, and a blind-spot camera system.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Kia Carnival?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly on strong listings.

• Deal availability: 38.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,767 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.78% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 87.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $31,724, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Kia Carnival's resale value?

The current average of $32,050 sits slightly below last year's $35,134.

That price decline suggests the market has become more favorable for buyers, but it also means future sellers may face some pressure if depreciation continues at the same pace. If you buy near the low end of the range, you improve your odds of limiting losses later.

The Carnival’s strong value proposition and high owner satisfaction should help support demand, especially among shoppers who want a distinctive family hauler. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.75/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Kia Carnival safe?

The 2024 Kia Carnival received mixed scores from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), including Good ratings in the driver and passenger-side small-overlap front crash tests, but Marginal and Poor results in updated front and side testing.

It earns a 5/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety features include blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keep assist, a driver attention monitor, automatic high beams, forward collision warning, and automatic emergency braking. Higher trim levels get more driver-assistance features, including adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go functionality, Highway Driving Assist, a surround-view camera system, and a blind-spot camera system that shows a camera view in the instrument cluster when a turn signal is activated.

The mixed crash-test results are the main caveat for used buyers, and the all-trim-versus-higher-trim safety split is worth checking carefully before you buy.

Should I buy a 2024 Kia Carnival or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 38.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.78% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.75/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• Ahead of a 2025 refresh, it carries over unchanged with strong driving manners and a polished design.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $28,239, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $32,050 average.
• It makes minivan practicality look far more stylish than the segment stereotype.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger current-market mix of inventory, pricing momentum, and owner satisfaction, the 2024 is the better all-around pick. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2023 is the more budget-friendly route and still delivers the Carnival’s core style and practicality.
