How much does the 2024 GMC Yukon XL cost?

Prices have softened 14.09% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,453 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for comparison shopping.

Is the 2024 GMC Yukon XL a good car?

The 2024 GMC Yukon XL stands out as a full-size SUV built around space, capability, and a more refined ride than older versions. It adds more than a foot between the front and rear axles, which translates into extra passenger room in the third row and more cargo space behind it. For buyers, the appeal is straightforward: you get serious room, multiple powertrain choices, and a long list of comfort and convenience features in a package that still feels truck-based and capable.

It is especially attractive to you if you need spacious second- and third-row seating and extensive cargo capacity. The main tradeoffs are poor fuel economy and handling that is not as nimble as car-based crossovers. 37.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 GMC Yukon XL reliable?

The 2024 GMC Yukon XL stands out as a full-size SUV built around space, capability, and a more refined ride than older versions. For buyers, the appeal is straightforward: it offers serious room, multiple powertrain choices, and a long list of comfort and convenience features in a package that still feels truck-based and capable.

It is especially attractive to shoppers who need spacious second- and third-row seating and extensive cargo capacity. The main tradeoffs are the same ones that come with most large body-on-frame SUVs: poor fuel economy and handling that is not as nimble as car-based crossovers. For long-term ownership, you should expect higher running costs and plan carefully for maintenance on a large, complex SUV.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 GMC Yukon XL?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then focus on a thorough pre-purchase inspection. Pay close attention to signs of prior body damage, uneven wear, and any issues that could affect a large SUV’s ride quality, cargo usability, or day-to-day comfort.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 GMC Yukon XL?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 37.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,453 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.09% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 89.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $62,398, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 GMC Yukon XL's resale value?

The current average of $62,398 sits slightly below last year's $72,630.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point. If you plan to sell later, the current softness means your resale outcome will depend heavily on mileage, condition, and how well the vehicle is equipped. A clean history and strong maintenance record should matter more when you eventually go to market.

Should I buy a 2024 GMC Yukon XL or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 37.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.09% compared with last year.

The bottom line: If you want a spacious, capable full-size SUV and value the 2024’s lower average price, it is the primary year to target. If you are especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby model years to see whether a similar configuration offers a better deal, but the 2024 already looks attractive for shoppers who want room and features without paying last year’s higher market level.
