Yes — the 2024 Ford Expedition earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. It stands out as a full-size SUV built around space, comfort, and family usefulness, with a third row of seats, plenty of passenger room, and a smooth ride. Is the 2024 Ford Expedition reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2024 Ford Expedition is described as a spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped SUV with a smooth ride and strong everyday usefulness. Its truck-based roots and available four-wheel drive support its utility, while the broad feature set suggests it was built to serve families and active buyers well. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure the vehicle has been maintained carefully, especially given its size and complexity.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Ford Expedition?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and confirm there are no hidden accident or title issues. Prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially for signs of wear in the suspension, brakes, electronics, and interior features. Focus on overall condition and how well the SUV has been maintained, since a large family vehicle like this can see heavy use.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Ford Expedition?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 35.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 5,108 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.11% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 90.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $45,434, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Ford Expedition's resale value?

The current average of $45,522 sits slightly below last year's $54,266.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy more affordably now but may also limit near-term upside if you plan to resell soon. If you buy at a strong price and keep the vehicle in excellent condition, you give yourself a better chance of preserving value. The Expedition’s broad appeal as a spacious, family-focused SUV should help support demand, especially for well-kept examples.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Ford Expedition or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 35.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.11% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $61,068, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $45,522 average.
• It adds a new Tremor trim that expands off-road capability.

The 2024 is the better primary choice if you want strong value, broad inventory, and a proven full-size SUV formula. If you’re price-sensitive, the 2024 gives you a much lower entry point while still delivering the space, comfort, and utility that make the Expedition appealing.
