Used 2024 Chevrolet Trax for Sale near Connecticut

How much does the 2024 Chevrolet Trax cost?

Prices have softened 6.36% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 7,038 listings available, which gives you a healthy amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2024 Chevrolet Trax a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Chevrolet Trax earns a 4.6/5 user rating and an 8.3/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Cost effectiveness, and Technology.

Owners consistently praise its sporty design, fuel efficiency, comfort, and value for money. The Trax also gets credit for modern technology and a more contemporary overall feel, which fits its role as an affordable small SUV for shoppers moving up from discontinued small cars.

The trade-offs are clear: it does not offer all-wheel drive, advanced safety features are not standard, and some drivers may find the interior ergonomics and power delivery less satisfying.

With its redesigned styling and broader trim lineup, it makes the most sense if you want an entry-level crossover that feels more modern than basic. Good and great deals account for 36.8% of listings, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities in the market.

Is the 2024 Chevrolet Trax reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with repeated praise for value, comfort, and fuel efficiency. That kind of response usually matters most when you plan to keep a vehicle for several years.

On the expert side, the Trax is described as a solid new entry with a well-sorted powertrain and suspension, plus standard active noise cancellation that helps it feel more refined than you might expect. Chevy’s warranty coverage also helps support ownership confidence.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about outright durability and more about whether the specific vehicle was maintained well and equipped the way you want.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Chevrolet Trax?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the vehicle history report carefully, because a clean listing percentage does not replace a proper records review. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection if you are considering a higher-mileage example or one with visible wear. Focus on condition details that matter in daily use, especially interior wear, electronics, and how the vehicle drives on rough pavement.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: LS models come with cloth upholstery and a mostly plastic interior, while higher trims add Evotex upholstery and more distinctive styling touches. The base trim also uses 17-inch steel wheels, while larger aluminum wheels are reserved for higher trims.
• Powertrain: The Trax uses a 1.2-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine with 137 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque, paired with front-wheel drive only. The engine is tuned for responsive low-speed pull and minimal turbo lag, but some owners still want more power.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian braking, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, forward collision warning, automatic high beams, and a following distance indicator. Adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear park assist are optional.
• Infotainment: LS and 1RS trims get an 8-inch touchscreen, while LT, 2RS, and Activ models get an 11-inch touchscreen and an 8-inch digital instrument cluster. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are available, and Wi-Fi connectivity continues.
• Fuel efficiency: The Trax returns 30 mpg combined, with 28 mpg city and 32 mpg highway.

Which 2024 Chevrolet Trax trim should I buy?

The 2024 Chevrolet Trax is offered in 5 trim levels: LS, 1RS, LT, 2RS, and Activ.

Here's the short version:

• LS: This is the most affordable way into the redesigned Trax, and it gives you the new styling, standard safety tech, and the basic infotainment setup. It makes sense if you want the lowest entry price and can live without the larger screen and extra convenience features.
• 1RS: This trim adds a sportier look while staying close to the lower end of the lineup. It is a good fit if you want a little more style without moving too far up the price ladder.
• LT: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds the larger 11-inch touchscreen, the 8-inch digital instrument cluster, and rear-seat USB ports. If you want the most useful mix of tech and everyday convenience, this is the one to target.
• 2RS: This trim leans into the sportier side of the Trax lineup and adds the larger screen setup along with more distinctive appearance details. It suits you if style matters and you want a more upscale-feeling cabin.
• Activ: This is the trim to consider if you want the more rugged-looking version of the Trax, with its own styling cues and the same upgraded screen setup. It is the right pick if you want the most distinctive appearance in the lineup.

Advanced safety features are not standard, so check carefully for the driver-assistance options you want on any trim.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Chevrolet Trax?

The market looks selective rather than overheated, which gives you room to shop carefully.

• Deal availability: 36.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 7,038 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.36% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 89.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $20,447, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Chevrolet Trax's resale value?

The current average of $20,447 sits slightly below last year's $21,835.

That price movement suggests the Trax has softened enough to create a more buyer-friendly entry point today. For a future seller, that can mean less immediate upside if you buy at the wrong price, but it also means you may be entering the market at a more realistic valuation.

The current range also shows that the model has already settled into a narrower pricing band, which can help stabilize expectations over time. If demand stays supported by its value proposition and broad appeal, resale should remain reasonably steady.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Chevrolet Trax safe?

The 2024 Chevrolet Trax earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian braking, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, forward collision warning, automatic high beams, and a following distance indicator. Adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear park assist are optional, so you will want to confirm which features are included on the specific vehicle you are considering.

One important caveat is that advanced safety features are not standard across the lineup, so trim and option content matter here. That makes it especially important to verify the exact equipment on any used example.

Should I buy a 2024 Chevrolet Trax or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 36.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.36% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2024 model year brings a thoroughly redesigned Trax with more modern styling, stronger technology, and a clearer identity than the older version.

The bottom line: If you want the most modern Trax experience, the 2024 is the one to target because it combines fresh design, better tech, and strong value. If you are especially price-sensitive, you can still shop carefully and focus on the best-equipped listings, but the 2024 already sits in a favorable spot for buyers who want a newer-feeling small SUV without stretching too far.
