Accident-free inventory is solid at 86% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then inspect the vehicle closely for prior damage, uneven panel gaps, and signs of poor repairs. Pay extra attention to overall condition, because a clean history is only part of the picture when you're buying used.

The current average of $40,585 sits slightly below last year's $46,350.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point today. If you plan to resell later, a lower purchase price can reduce your depreciation exposure, especially if you buy a well-kept example. Strong condition and clean history will matter most when it comes time to attract the next buyer.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Cadillac XT6 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 86% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.44% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of current pricing, inventory depth, and owner satisfaction, the 2024 is the primary year to target. If you're especially price-sensitive, compare it against nearby years and focus on the cleanest, best-priced example rather than chasing the newest badge alone.
