You should still prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage example or a vehicle with incomplete service records. It’s also smart to compare trim and equipment carefully so you know whether the features you want are actually present.

What is the 2024 Cadillac XT5's resale value?

The current average of $35,836 sits slightly below last year's $39,600.

That price movement suggests the XT5 has already absorbed some depreciation, which can help future sellers if the market stabilizes. Because the model is positioned around comfort, practicality, and value, it may continue to appeal to shoppers looking for a straightforward luxury crossover rather than the newest tech-heavy option. If you buy at the right price and keep the vehicle in good condition, you may be better positioned when it’s time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Cadillac XT5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 34.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 84.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.50% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $31,407, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $35,836 average.
• It offers strong value for shoppers who want a premium feel without chasing expensive options.

The bottom line:
You should start with the 2024 if you want the newer-year pricing context, stronger market transparency, and a broad pool of listings to compare. If your priority is saving money upfront, the 2023 is the better secondary path because it delivers a similar comfort-and-value formula at a lower average price.
