Is the 2024 BMW 4 Series a good car?

Yes — 5/5 is a strong user rating for the 2024 BMW 4 Series. It stands out for blending premium equipment with a distinctive design that is more dramatic than the related 3 Series sedan, while still feeling familiar underneath because it shares most of its mechanical and interior parts with the contemporary 3 Series.

For you, that means the 4 Series makes the most sense if you want a sporty luxury coupe or convertible with a strong feature set right from the start. Standard equipment is generous, and the model’s appeal comes from combining style, technology, and a familiar BMW driving character.

38.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2024 BMW 4 Series reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2024 BMW 4 Series is described as a familiar BMW underneath, with shared mechanical and interior parts from the 3 Series, and it pairs that with a well-equipped cabin and turbocharged powertrains. That combination points to a model that should feel consistent and well sorted in everyday use.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is paying premium-car money for a vehicle that may still require premium-level upkeep if prior maintenance was neglected.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 BMW 4 Series?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should start with the history report to confirm the car’s background and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on higher-priced examples. Focus on overall condition, since this model is positioned as a premium car and you want to make sure the interior, electronics, and exterior presentation match the asking price.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 BMW 4 Series?

• Deal availability: 38.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,139 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.43% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $42,699, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 BMW 4 Series's resale value?

The current average of $42,699 sits slightly below last year's $45,150.

That softer pricing suggests the market has become a bit more favorable for buyers, but it also means a future seller may need to price competitively to stand out. The 4 Series still has appeal because it combines a distinctive design with premium equipment and strong performance, which helps support demand among shoppers looking for a used luxury coupe or convertible.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 BMW 4 Series or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 38.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.43% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line:

If you want the strongest mix of current pricing, inventory depth, and owner satisfaction, the 2024 is the primary year to target. If you are especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years to see whether a lower asking price outweighs the 2024’s combination of market softness and broad availability.
