You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the car’s records match its condition. That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point today. For a future seller, that also means resale performance will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the car is documented. If you keep the car clean, maintained, and accident-free, you give yourself a better chance of holding value.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Audi A3 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 38.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.2% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.75% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $32,398, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $23,343 average.
• It adds standard Quattro all-wheel drive and more standard features.

The bottom line: You should start with the 2024 if you want the better value and a wider pool of competitively priced listings. If you care more about the refreshed setup and can stretch your budget, the 2025 is the better upgrade path. For price-sensitive buyers, the 2024 is the smarter first stop.
