This looks like a buyer-friendly market, with solid inventory and a meaningful share of listings priced below market norms.

The current average of $23,187 sits slightly below last year's $26,390.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point. If you plan to sell later, a lower purchase price can reduce your depreciation exposure compared with buying when prices are elevated. Strong demand for well-rated examples can also help support future resale interest.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Audi A3 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 40.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.14% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $32,203, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $23,187 average.
• The refreshed model adds standard Quattro all-wheel drive and more standard features.

The bottom line: If you want the better value play, the 2024 is the stronger starting point because pricing has softened and inventory is healthy. If you want the newer model's added standard equipment and are willing to pay more, the 2025 is the better upgrade path. For price-sensitive buyers, the 2024 is the more compelling choice.
