About 2023 Volvo V60
Overview

Americans don’t buy as many station wagons as they once did, but there are still a few solid wagon choices, especially from Volvo, whose lineup was once busy with the family-hauling vehicles. The V60 is one of the automaker's remaining wagon models on sale today, and it brings a high-end interior with great features and safety tech.
What’s New for the 2023 Volvo V60
The V60 got a mild refresh for 2023, bringing new exterior styling and Google services for the infotainment system.
Design
The 2023 V60 is a seriously good-looking wagon, offering sleek style, an elongated profile, and Volvo’s signature “Thor’s Hammer” LED running lights. Volvo’s restrained styling is on full display, and the V60 is available in an array of subdued colors for a subtle, high-end look.
Powertrain
Volvo offers two overly complex powertrains for the 2023 V60, including the base turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 247 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. The upgraded turbocharged and supercharged engine delivers 455 horsepower and 523 pound-feet of torque. Both come paired with an eight-speed automatic and all-wheel drive (AWD).
Volvo does a good job of programing thrills into its hybrid powertrains, which is how we ended up with 455 horsepower in a family wagon. Standard AWD keeps the wheels turning in a variety of weather conditions, and the cross-country configuration affords more ground clearance for competent light off-roading.
Interior
Volvo’s interior design is one of the most attractive and stylish looks in the industry, and the V60 benefits from a clean interior with few distractions. The front seats are wonderfully supportive, offering great padding and a high degree of adjustability, while the back seat is plenty comfortable for people of all sizes. Installing car seats is easy, and cargo space measures a healthy 22.89 cubic feet behind the second row. The space opens to 60.5 cubic feet with the back bench folded flat.
Technology
A 12-inch configurable digital gauge cluster and a 9-inch touchscreen come standard, running Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The V60 gets wireless device charging, navigation, voice controls, and more. The addition of Google services enhances an already-robust offering and makes the system easier to use and more responsive.
Safety
The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) hasn’t yet crashed the new V60, but the last model to be tested in 2021 earned a "Top Safety Pick" award. Volvo installs a slew of advanced driver aids, including blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alerts, lane-keep assist, lane-departure alerts, and many other features.
Pricing
The 2023 V60 Cross Country starts at $48,800 before options, taxes, and delivery. Stepping up to the V60 Recharge Hybrid drags the price tag up to $70,550. Volvo offers a few upgrades, including a $750 climate package and a $740 protection package.
