How much does the 2023 Subaru Crosstrek cost?

Prices have softened 6.90% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 5,058 listings available, which suggests you have a healthy amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Subaru Crosstrek a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Subaru Crosstrek earns a 4.5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction.

Drivers consistently praise its smooth handling, great mileage, and strong safety features. The model also fits well if you want a practical compact SUV that is comfortable for daily driving and useful in rough weather, while still keeping things simple. Some owners note weaker acceleration and an infotainment system that could be better, but the overall feedback is positive. With 36.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market still gives you room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Subaru Crosstrek reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Review feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience for many drivers, with comments that reinforce its reputation for being a vehicle you can count on over time. The Crosstrek’s practical design and strong safety reputation also support that impression. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure a specific example has been maintained well and hasn’t been worn down by hard use.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Subaru Crosstrek?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the report carefully and confirm the car’s history matches the listing. Prioritize a thorough inspection of the exterior, interior, and mechanical condition, especially if the vehicle has seen frequent weather or road use. Focus on signs of wear that could affect long-term value, and make sure everything works as expected before you commit.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Subaru Crosstrek?

This looks like a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting a deep bargain on every listing.

• Deal availability: 36.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 5,058 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.90% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 87.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $22,997, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Subaru Crosstrek's resale value?

The current average of $22,997 sits slightly below last year's $24,700.

That softer pricing can help you buy at a more favorable entry point, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays soft. Even so, the Crosstrek’s broad appeal should help support demand when you eventually sell. Strong owner satisfaction can also help keep interest steady in the used market.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Subaru Crosstrek or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 36.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.90% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $26,048, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $22,997 average.
• It adds multiple engine choices and a Wilderness trim for more off-road capability.

The bottom line:
You should start with the 2023 if you want the better value and a strong mix of practicality, owner satisfaction, and inventory choice. If you’re willing to spend more for added capability and newer features, the 2024 is the better upgrade path. For price-sensitive buyers, the 2023 is the smarter first stop.
