Used 2023 Subaru BRZ for Sale nearBaton Rouge, LA

How much does the 2023 Subaru BRZ cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

There are 164 listings available, which suggests a modest amount of inventory for shoppers comparing condition and price.

Is the 2023 Subaru BRZ a good car?

The 2023 Subaru BRZ stands out as a lightweight, rear-wheel-drive sports coupe that prioritizes balance and driver involvement over straight-line speed. It uses a 2.4-liter boxer engine rated at 228 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque, and it was offered with either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission. Subaru also claimed a 50% increase in torsional stiffness from the redesigned chassis, which helps explain why the BRZ is known for crisp handling and a playful feel.

For 2023, EyeSight became standard across the BRZ lineup with both the manual and automatic transmission options. The car also carried over a customizable 7-inch digital dashboard, an 8-inch infotainment touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth connectivity, a rear-view camera, and SiriusXM satellite radio. Those features give the BRZ a more modern cabin than its back-to-basics reputation might suggest, while still keeping the car focused on driving enjoyment.

The main tradeoff is that the BRZ remains a small, purpose-built coupe. Its appeal is strongest for buyers who want a fun, affordable sports car with a manual transmission available and a well-balanced chassis, not one that wins on practicality or brute force.

With 36.0% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a meaningful number of value-oriented options to compare.

Is the 2023 Subaru BRZ reliable?

The 2023 Subaru BRZ is built around a simple formula: a lightweight coupe layout, a naturally focused chassis, and a straightforward feature set that supports the driving experience. Its appeal comes from balance and driver involvement rather than complexity, which is part of why it makes sense for shoppers who want a focused sports car.

The standard EyeSight system and the modern infotainment setup also suggest a car that was updated to feel current without becoming overcomplicated. That balance can be appealing if you want a used sports coupe that stays true to its purpose.

For long-term ownership, your biggest risk is less about luxury-car complexity and more about buying a small performance coupe that may have been driven hard.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Subaru BRZ?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 81.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then focus on a pre-purchase inspection that checks for signs of track use, curb rash, tire wear, and uneven panel gaps. Because this is a purpose-built sports coupe, condition matters more than mileage alone, so pay close attention to how the car was maintained and whether the drivetrain, brakes, and suspension feel tight and consistent.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Subaru BRZ?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings if you know what to prioritize.

• Deal availability: 36.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 164 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 81.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $26,279, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Subaru BRZ's resale value?

The current average of $27,600 sits slightly below last year's $27,716.

That small decline suggests the BRZ has been holding value fairly steadily rather than swinging sharply in either direction. For a future seller, that kind of pricing pattern can be reassuring because it points to a market that is still willing to pay for the car’s enthusiast appeal.

If you keep the car in clean condition and avoid signs of abuse, you should be in a better position when it comes time to sell. A well-kept BRZ is likely to remain attractive to buyers who want a lightweight rear-drive coupe with a manual transmission option.

Should I buy a 2023 Subaru BRZ or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 36.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 81.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $26,623, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $27,600 average.
• It offers a fun, value-focused redesign with a clear enthusiast identity.

The bottom line:
Choose the 2023 if you want the newer-year market position and a stable pricing backdrop. If your priority is saving money up front, the 2022 is the better secondary path because it delivers a similar enthusiast-focused formula at a lower average price.
