Used 2023 Subaru BRZ for Sale nearBakersfield, CA

How much does the 2023 Subaru BRZ cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

There are 171 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2023 Subaru BRZ a good car?

The 2023 Subaru BRZ stands out as a lightweight, rear-wheel-drive sports coupe that prioritizes balance and driver involvement over straight-line speed. It uses a 2.4-liter boxer engine rated at 228 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque, and it was offered with either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission. Subaru also claimed a 50% increase in torsional stiffness from the redesigned chassis, which helps explain why the BRZ is known for crisp handling and a playful feel.

For 2023, EyeSight became standard across the BRZ lineup with both the manual and automatic transmission options. The car also carried over a customizable 7-inch digital dashboard, an 8-inch infotainment touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth connectivity, a rear-view camera, and SiriusXM satellite radio. Those features make it a better fit if you want a fun sports coupe that still feels modern inside.

The main tradeoff is that the BRZ remains a small, purpose-built coupe. Its appeal is strongest for you if you want a fun, affordable sports car with a manual transmission available and a well-balanced chassis, not one that wins on practicality or brute force. 38.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so there are still some attractive opportunities in the market.

Is the 2023 Subaru BRZ reliable?

The 2023 Subaru BRZ stands out as a lightweight, rear-wheel-drive sports coupe that prioritizes balance and driver involvement over straight-line speed. It uses a 2.4-liter boxer engine rated at 228 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque, and Subaru’s focus on a redesigned chassis with greater torsional stiffness points to a car built around driving precision.

For you, that means the BRZ’s reliability story is best viewed through the lens of a simple, purpose-built sports car rather than a high-complexity performance machine. Its standard safety and convenience equipment also suggest a modern ownership experience without a lot of unnecessary complication.

Long-term ownership risk is most likely to come from how the car was driven and maintained, so a careful pre-purchase inspection matters more than chasing mileage alone.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Subaru BRZ?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 80.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should confirm the car’s history report first, then prioritize a thorough inspection of the chassis, tires, brakes, and interior wear. Because the BRZ is a driver-focused coupe, condition matters a lot: look closely for signs of hard use, track-style wear, or uneven maintenance.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Subaru BRZ?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to shop carefully without expecting deep discounts across every listing.

• Deal availability: 38.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 171 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 80.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $26,274, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Subaru BRZ's resale value?

The current average of $27,778 sits slightly above last year's $27,728.

That small increase suggests the BRZ has held its value well in the near term. If you sell later, a stable pricing pattern can help you avoid the sharper depreciation swings that some niche sports cars experience. The current market also shows enough demand to keep pricing from drifting too far below the recent average.

Should I buy a 2023 Subaru BRZ or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 38.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 80.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $27,031, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $27,778 average.
• It offers a more value-focused, fun-to-drive redesign with straightforward tech.

The bottom line:
You should lean toward the 2023 if you want the newer market position and a stable pricing picture. If your priority is saving money, the 2022 is the better secondary path because it undercuts the current year’s average while keeping the BRZ’s core driving character intact.
