Used 2023 Nissan Versa for Sale nearLos Angeles, CA

How much does the 2023 Nissan Versa cost?

Prices have softened 2.32% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,355 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2023 Nissan Versa a good car?

The 2023 Nissan Versa earns a 7.3/10 expert rating, and it’s aimed squarely at you if you want an affordable new sedan that still feels relevant. The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 9/10.

The overview and test-drive notes point to a car that is stylish, fuel-efficient, and an excellent value for money. It also gets freshened styling and more available tech features for 2023, which helps it feel more modern without losing its straightforward, budget-first mission.

The trade-offs are clear: performance is fairly pedestrian, and the technology is described as outdated. If you want basic transportation with a low purchase price and can live with modest acceleration and a simpler cabin experience, the Versa makes a strong case for itself.

Only 35.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so you still need to shop carefully even in a value-oriented market.

Is the 2023 Nissan Versa reliable?

The 2023 Nissan Versa is presented as honest basic transportation with a simple gasoline powertrain, front-wheel drive, and a conventional automatic or manual setup depending on trim. Its performance is described as satisfactory rather than exciting, and the ride is noted as comfortable and more substantial than you might expect from a subcompact sedan.

That same straightforward setup can be a plus for long-term ownership because there’s less complexity than you’d find in many pricier alternatives. You also get Nissan’s standard warranty coverage, which helps support the ownership experience early on.

The first scheduled maintenance visit is on the house.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that a budget car like this can show wear quickly if it has been neglected, so condition and maintenance history matter a lot.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Nissan Versa?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 84.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the report carefully, because a clean listing percentage doesn’t replace a proper history review. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, and pay close attention to how the cabin, infotainment system, and driver-assist features have held up in real use.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base Versa S is the most stripped-down version, with standard 15-inch steel wheels and fewer convenience features than the higher trims. The S Plus Package adds Apple CarPlay/Android Auto compatibility, a 60/40 split-folding rear seat, and 16-inch alloy wheels, while the SR adds more convenience features and a more upscale look.
• Powertrain: All Versa models use a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine with front-wheel drive. The base S comes with a five-speed manual, while the CVT is optional on the S and standard on the SV and SR; the CVT version is the more efficient setup.
• Safety package: The base S includes automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection and lane-departure warning. The SV adds blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert, and the SR adds adaptive cruise control.
• Infotainment: The base S gets a 7-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth phone connectivity and streaming audio, Siri Eyes Free, three USB ports, and keyless entry. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto require the S Plus Package or a higher trim; the SV adds a 7-inch driver information display and wireless phone charging, while the SR adds an 8-inch touchscreen, six-speaker audio, Wi-Fi hotspot, and NissanConnect Services.
• Fuel efficiency: EPA estimates are 27 mpg city and 35 mpg highway with the manual transmission, or 32 mpg city and 40 mpg highway with the CVT.

Which 2023 Nissan Versa trim should I buy?

The 2023 Nissan Versa is offered in 3 trim levels: S, SV, SR.

Here's the short version:

• S: This is the value play if you want the lowest entry price and can live with the most basic equipment. It gives you the core Versa experience, but you’ll want the S Plus Package if Apple CarPlay and Android Auto matter to you.
• SV: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 7-inch driver information display, wireless phone charging, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert without jumping all the way to the top trim.
• SR: Choose this if you want the most features and the most upscale feel in the lineup. It adds an 8-inch touchscreen, six-speaker audio, Wi-Fi hotspot, NissanConnect Services, adaptive cruise control, heated front seats, automatic climate control, a center console with armrest, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel.

The safety package starts with automatic emergency braking and lane-departure warning on the S, then expands on the SV and SR with additional driver-assistance features.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Nissan Versa?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to shop, but the best listings can still move quickly.

• Deal availability: 35.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,355 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.32% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 84.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $15,234, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Nissan Versa's resale value?

The current average of $15,698 sits slightly below last year's $16,071.

That softer pricing suggests the Versa is holding value reasonably well for a budget sedan, but not aggressively. If you buy one now, you’re entering at a lower average price than a year ago, which can help reduce your depreciation exposure.

For a future seller, the key takeaway is that the market is already pricing in the Versa’s value-first positioning. If you keep mileage reasonable and maintain the car well, you’ll be in a better position to protect resale value than if you let condition slide.

Is the 2023 Nissan Versa safe?

The 2023 Nissan Versa earns five-star ratings in side-impact crash testing and four-star ratings in the frontal and rollover categories from NHTSA.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

The base Versa S comes standard with automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection and lane-departure warning. The Versa SV adds blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert, and the SR adds adaptive cruise control to that list.

One caveat is that the IIHS hasn’t published updated safety ratings for this model year under its newer testing protocols, so you should lean more heavily on the standard safety equipment and the NHTSA results when evaluating it.

Should I buy a 2023 Nissan Versa or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

• 35.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 84.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.32% compared with last year.
• The 2023 model stands out for its freshened styling, more available tech features, and the new S Plus Package for the base trim.

The bottom line: if you want the most up-to-date version of the Versa’s basic-car formula, the 2023 model is the one to target. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you can still shop carefully and look for a lower-priced listing, but the 2023’s updates make it the better all-around pick.
