Used 2023 Nissan Rogue for Sale nearFort Smith, AR

How much does the 2023 Nissan Rogue cost?

Prices have softened 6.47% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 12,479 listings available, which gives you a healthy amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Nissan Rogue a good car?

Generally — the 2023 Nissan Rogue earns 4.3/5 from owners and 6.7/10 from our experts. The standout strength is Look and feel at 8/10.

Owners consistently praise the spacious interior, safety features, comfortable ride, and fuel economy. The model also gets credit for modern technology, especially in higher trims, which helps it feel current in a crowded compact crossover class.

The trade-offs are familiar: the back seats are less comfortable, the voice recognition system is weak, and value for money is a concern. That matters if you want a family-friendly compact SUV that balances everyday comfort with a more upscale presentation.

The Rogue’s appeal is strongest if you want a stylish, well-equipped compact crossover with broad mainstream use-case appeal rather than the cheapest possible ownership experience. Good and great deals account for 38.3% of listings, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Nissan Rogue reliable?

Owners rate it 4.3/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owners describe the Rogue as spacious, safe, fuel-efficient, and comfortable, and they also point to modern technology as a plus. The powertrain is presented as responsive in everyday driving, and the drivetrain is described as generally unobtrusive in normal use.

That said, the CVT can draw complaints for being loud and sometimes lacking power, which is worth keeping in mind if you plan to keep the vehicle for the long haul. For used buyers, the main ownership risk is whether the drivetrain and electronics have aged cleanly under prior use.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Nissan Rogue?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a vehicle history report on any candidate, even if the listing looks clean. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on the drivetrain, infotainment behavior, and the condition of the cabin and safety systems. If you’re comparing multiple examples, pay close attention to how the vehicle presents in everyday use rather than just the sticker price.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup includes S, SV, SL, and Platinum trim levels, and the SV, SL, and Platinum can be equipped with optional Premium packages. The base trim is the most stripped-down version, while higher trims add more upscale materials and features.
• Powertrain: The Rogue uses a turbocharged 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine with a CVT, and AWD versions add Off-Road and Snow modes. It is tuned for responsive urban and suburban driving, but highway passing power is limited.
• Safety package: Safety Shield 360 is standard and includes forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, rear automatic braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, and automatic high-beam headlights. ProPilot Assist with Navi-link is available on higher trims, and some driver-assistance features are not standard on every trim.
• Infotainment: The Rogue uses an 8-inch or available 9-inch touchscreen, and the larger setup can include wireless Apple CarPlay, wired Android Auto, NissanConnect services, a Wi-Fi hotspot, navigation, wireless charging, and a Bose audio system. Alexa Built-in is standard in Platinum.
• Fuel efficiency: The test vehicle returned 31 mpg in combined driving according to EPA expectations, and it averaged 28.9 mpg on the evaluation loop.

Which 2023 Nissan Rogue trim should I buy?

The 2023 Nissan Rogue is offered in 4 trim levels: S, SV, SL, and Platinum.

Here's the short version:

• S: This is the entry point, so it makes the most sense if you want the Rogue’s core design, standard safety equipment, and a lower purchase price without paying for extras you may not use.
• SV: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds more everyday appeal while staying below the luxury-leaning upper trims. It also gets the exclusive Midnight Edition package, which gives you a more distinctive look.
• SL: Choose this if you want a more upscale feel and more available equipment without going all the way to the top trim.
• Platinum: This is the trim to buy if you want the most premium Rogue experience, including upscale cabin materials and Alexa Built-in as standard.

Higher trims can add more advanced driver-assistance capability, including ProPilot Assist with Navi-link.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Nissan Rogue?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 38.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 12,479 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.47% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 86.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $21,427, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Nissan Rogue's resale value?

The current average of $21,562 sits slightly below last year's $23,054.

That softer pricing suggests the Rogue has become more accessible in the used market, which can help future buyers but may temper short-term resale gains for current owners. If you buy at the right price, you reduce the risk of taking a bigger depreciation hit later.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.3/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Nissan Rogue safe?

The 2023 Nissan Rogue earns a Top Safety Pick+ from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) and a five-star overall rating from NHTSA. However, it gets four-star ratings for the driver and front passenger in a frontal-impact collision.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Safety Shield 360 is standard, and it includes forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, rear automatic braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, and automatic high-beam headlights. Higher trims can add ProPilot Assist with Navi-link, plus features such as a surround-view camera, active blind-spot monitoring, lane-keeping assist, and a driver monitoring system.

One caveat is that the Rogue falters in updated IIHS small overlap frontal-impact and side-impact testing, which is worth weighing if safety is a top priority.

Should I buy a 2023 Nissan Rogue or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 38.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.47% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.3/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• It combines a stylish design with standard advanced safety features and a more current turbocharged engine.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $19,023, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $21,562 average.
• It brings a more modern powertrain and a class-leading combined fuel-economy claim.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $20,694, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $21,562 average.
• It adds refreshed styling and a tech overhaul with Google built-in apps.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of current pricing, broad inventory, and owner satisfaction, the 2023 is the safer default choice. If your priority is lower purchase price, the 2022 is the value play; if you want newer tech, the 2024 is worth a look.
