Used 2023 Nissan Pathfinder for Sale nearEugene, OR

How much does the 2023 Nissan Pathfinder cost?

Prices have softened 8.94% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 4,487 listings available, which suggests you have a healthy amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Nissan Pathfinder a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Nissan Pathfinder earns a 4.7/5 user rating and an 8.2/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Form and function and Safety.

Owners consistently praise its stylish design, comfortable seating, and strong performance. The user feedback also points to a luxurious-feeling interior and a sound system that stands out, while the broader overview highlights its roomy cabin, usable third row, and family-friendly practicality.

The trade-offs are worth keeping in mind: the Pathfinder is described as having a high starting price, a confusing shifter design, and ride quality that can be hard to balance. Even so, if you want a three-row SUV that emphasizes space, comfort, and everyday usefulness, this model year fits that brief well.

With 39.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, there’s meaningful market flexibility if you shop carefully.

Is the 2023 Nissan Pathfinder reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback points to a vehicle that feels dependable in daily use, with owners repeatedly highlighting comfort, strong performance, and a generally satisfying ownership experience. That kind of feedback matters because it suggests the Pathfinder is the sort of SUV you can count on for regular family duty rather than just short-term appeal.

The expert evaluation also describes it as a roomy, comfortable, and capable family crossover, which reinforces the idea that it is built for steady everyday use. It is backed by a 5-year/60,000-mile powertrain warranty, which adds some reassurance for used buyers.

For long-term ownership, the main risk is less about outright durability and more about whether the Pathfinder’s quirks and feature mix will suit your needs over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Nissan Pathfinder?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because accident-free status does not replace a full records review. A pre-purchase inspection should focus on the shifter behavior, ride quality, and whether the features you want are present on the specific trim you’re considering. It also helps to confirm that the cabin and convenience equipment match your expectations, especially if you’re comparing lower trims with better-equipped versions.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The S trim includes 18-inch alloy wheels, manually adjustable seats, cloth upholstery, push-button start, remote keyless entry, tri-zone automatic climate control, and an 8-inch touchscreen. The SV adds heated front seats, a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, remote start, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and additional driver assistance features. The SL adds a 10-way power-adjustable front passenger’s seat, wireless device charging, a heated steering wheel, leather upholstery, and a 9-inch touchscreen. The Rock Creek adds off-road suspension, all-terrain tires, unique styling elements, LED fog lights, a heavy-duty roof cargo rack, standard four-wheel drive, and a slight bump in output. The Platinum adds upgraded leather upholstery, 20-inch alloy wheels, a hands-free power liftgate, a wall-style power outlet, ventilated front seats, a fully digital instrument panel, and a power tilt-telescoping steering wheel.
• Powertrain: The Pathfinder uses a 3.5-liter V6 with 284 horsepower and 259 pound-feet of torque, paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive or available all-wheel drive. The Rock Creek version is tuned to 295 hp and 270 lb-ft, and it adds a taller suspension with off-road shocks and standard AWD.
• Safety package: Standard driver assistance includes forward and reverse automatic emergency braking, forward and reverse collision warning, pedestrian detection, automatic high beams, rear parking sensors, driver attention monitoring, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. SV adds ProPilot Assist with lane centering and adaptive cruise control. SL adds front parking sensors, a 360-degree parking monitor, traffic-sign recognition, and navigation-linked ProPilot Assist. Platinum adds rain-sensing wipers and a head-up display.
• Infotainment: The standard system uses an 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. SL, Rock Creek, and Platinum get a 9-inch touchscreen. The SL also adds wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless device charging, and a third-row USB port, while the Platinum adds a second third-row USB port.
• Fuel efficiency: The Pathfinder returns 21 mpg city, 27 highway, and 23 combined. SL and Platinum 4WD trims return 20 mpg city, 25 highway, and 22 combined. The Rock Creek is rated at 20 mpg city, 23 highway, and 21 combined.

Which 2023 Nissan Pathfinder trim should I buy?

The 2023 Nissan Pathfinder is offered in 5 trim levels: S, SV, SL, Rock Creek, and Platinum.

Here's the short version:

• S: This is the entry point, but it still gives you the core Pathfinder experience with an 8-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, tri-zone climate control, and the basic comfort and convenience features you need. It makes sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the lineup and do not need extra luxury or driver-assistance upgrades.
• SV: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds heated front seats, remote start, a power driver’s seat, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and additional driver assistance features. If you want a more complete daily driver without jumping too far up the price ladder, this is the trim to target.
• SL: This trim is the sweet spot if you want a more upscale cabin and better tech. You get leather upholstery, wireless device charging, a heated steering wheel, a larger 9-inch touchscreen, front parking sensors, a 360-degree parking monitor, and traffic-sign recognition.
• Rock Creek: Choose this if you want the most rugged version of the Pathfinder. It adds off-road suspension, all-terrain tires, standard four-wheel drive, unique styling, and a stronger engine tune, plus a more durable interior treatment.
• Platinum: This is the top-end choice if you want the most comfort and convenience features, including ventilated front seats, upgraded leather, a digital instrument panel, a hands-free power liftgate, and a power tilt-telescoping steering wheel.

The safety package starts with a strong standard set of driver-assistance features, and SV, SL, and Platinum each add more capability as you move up the range.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Nissan Pathfinder?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay disciplined.

• Deal availability: 39.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 4,487 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.94% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 86.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $29,197, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Nissan Pathfinder's resale value?

The current average of $29,197 sits slightly below last year's $32,064.

That price movement suggests the model has already absorbed some depreciation, which can help future resale stability if you buy at the right number. If you purchase near the lower end of the current range, you reduce the chance of taking an outsized hit later.

The Pathfinder’s broad appeal as a three-row family SUV should help keep demand steady, especially for well-equipped examples with the right condition and history. Stronger trims and cleaner vehicles should be easier to move when it’s your turn to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Nissan Pathfinder safe?

The 2023 Nissan Pathfinder earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard driver assistance includes forward and reverse automatic emergency braking, forward and reverse collision warning, pedestrian detection, automatic high beams, rear parking sensors, driver attention monitoring, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. SV adds ProPilot Assist with lane centering and adaptive cruise control, while SL adds front parking sensors, a 360-degree parking monitor, traffic-sign recognition, and navigation-linked ProPilot Assist. Platinum adds rain-sensing wipers and a head-up display.

One caveat to keep in mind is that the standard safety suite is strongest once you move beyond the base trim, since SV and above add more advanced assistance features. That makes trim choice especially important if safety tech is a priority for you.

Should I buy a 2023 Nissan Pathfinder or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 39.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.94% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2023 adds the Rock Creek edition, giving you a more rugged Pathfinder option with off-road hardware and a stronger personality.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $24,157, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $29,197 average.
• It brings back much of the Pathfinder’s rugged character and capability.

The bottom line: If you want the newer model-year market with better inventory depth and the Rock Creek option, the 2023 is the better all-around pick. If your priority is saving money upfront, the 2022 is the more budget-friendly path and still delivers much of the same core appeal.
