Is the 2023 Nissan Murano a good car?

Yes — 4.75/5 is a strong user rating, and the 2023 Murano’s appeal centers on comfort, a quiet driving character, and a cabin that was described as a big step forward in design and quality. It also emphasizes easygoing manners over sharp handling, so it fits you best if you want a relaxed midsize SUV rather than a sporty one. The model’s strong fuel economy for the class and spacious front seats add to its everyday appeal. 36.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Nissan Murano reliable?

Owners rate it 4.75/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2023 Murano’s reliability story is tied to its comfort-first design and its nine-speed automatic transmission, which replaced the older continuously variable transmission and made the SUV feel more responsive. The cabin and overall driving character are aimed at low-stress ownership, which is a good fit if you want a used SUV that feels settled and easy to live with. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure the vehicle has been maintained well and still feels tight, quiet, and mechanically smooth.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Nissan Murano?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because a clean listing percentage does not replace a full record of prior damage or repairs. Put the inspection focus on the cabin, the transmission’s behavior, and overall condition, since this model’s value is tied heavily to comfort and refinement. Also pay attention to cargo-area usability and rear visibility so you know whether the vehicle’s shape works for your daily needs.

The current average of $24,553 sits slightly above last year's $24,249.

That modest increase suggests the market has held up reasonably well for this model year, which is a positive sign if you plan to sell later. The Murano’s comfort-focused appeal and upscale feel help it stay relevant with shoppers who want a relaxed midsize SUV. At the same time, its value will depend on condition, mileage, and how well it presents against newer alternatives in the segment. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.75/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Nissan Murano or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 36.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices are up 1.25% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 4.75/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line:

The 2023 Murano is the right pick if you want the newer transmission, a comfort-first driving experience, and a cabin that feels more upscale than many mainstream rivals. If your priority is stretching your budget, a nearby older year may give you a lower entry price, while the 2023 remains the better choice if you want the strongest mix of refinement and current-market demand.
