Used 2023 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class for Sale near Florida

How much does the 2023 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class cost?

Prices are up 3.40% year-over-year — a sign of continued demand for this model year.

There are 306 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.33/10 expert rating.

The standout strength is Safety at 10/10.

The SL-Class is aimed at buyers who want a statement-making luxury roadster with a premium cabin and strong performance. Its striking design and high-end interior materials support that mission, while the powerful engine gives it the kind of presence you expect in this segment.

The trade-offs are real: the infotainment system is aggravating, fuel economy is poor, and cargo space is limited. Even so, the car still makes sense if you value style, performance, and luxury more than everyday convenience.

34.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The SL-Class is built around a premium, high-tech grand-touring formula, and the expert review describes it as a car that can feel soft and lazy in Comfort mode while still delivering strong performance when you ask for it. That kind of dual personality can be appealing if you want a luxury convertible that is comfortable in normal driving and capable when the road opens up.

The performance notes also point to a car that feels robust and fast, with strong acceleration, confident braking, and substantial grip. Mercedes also includes useful standard hardware such as surround-view cameras, parking sensors, and active semi-autonomous parking assist, which can reduce day-to-day stress.

If you buy used, the main long-term ownership risk is that the car’s complex controls and high-end systems may be more frustrating than a simpler luxury convertible, so condition and proper operation matter a lot.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.1% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and verify that the car’s premium equipment works as intended, especially the roof, infotainment, and driver-assistance systems. A pre-purchase inspection should focus on the condition of the cabin controls, the electronics, and any signs that the car has been used hard or poorly maintained.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup includes the SL 43, SL 55, and SL 63, all in standard Touring trim, with Performance trim available for the SL 55 and SL 63. The base setup already brings a luxurious, high-tech cabin, while the higher trims add more aggressive capability and extra hardware. If you want the best balance of equipment and value, the SL 55 is the one to focus on.
• Powertrain: The SL 55 uses a hand-built, twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 with 469 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque, paired with a nine-speed automatic and all-wheel drive. It is quick, flexible, and tuned for strong real-world performance.
• Safety package: The standard safety setup includes pop-up roll bars and Pre-Safe Sound, and the Driver Assistance Package adds 13 more systems, including adaptive cruise control with lane-centering assist and lane-change assist, active emergency stop assist, and active braking for intersections, cross-traffic, and sudden congestion situations. That package is optional, so check whether a used example has it.
• Infotainment: The cabin uses a 12.3-inch digital instrument display and an 11.9-inch portrait touchscreen with MBUX, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless smartphone charging, and a one-year Mercedes Me subscription with Wi-Fi hotspot access and online music streaming. The system is feature-rich, but you should test it carefully because the controls can be distracting.
• Fuel efficiency: The SL 55 is rated at 16 mpg in combined driving and returned 16.6 mpg on the test loop.

Which 2023 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class trim should I buy?

The 2023 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class is offered in 3 trim levels: SL 43, SL 55, SL 63.

Here's the short version:

• SL 43: This is the entry point, and it gives you the new, more affordable way into the SL lineup. It is the trim to consider if you want the style and presence of the car without stretching to the higher-performance versions.
• SL 55: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it combines the strong V8 powertrain with the core luxury and technology features that define the car. It is the sweet spot if you want the full SL experience without moving all the way up the range.
• SL 63: Choose this if you want the most powerful and most expensive version in the lineup. It is the right pick if you are prioritizing maximum performance and are willing to pay for it.

Performance trim is available for the SL 55 and SL 63, and it adds an AMG Active Ride Control suspension, a front-axle lift system, an AMG limited-slip rear differential, yellow brake calipers, and a Race mode.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class?

• Deal availability: 34.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 306 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 3.40% year-over-year.
• Clean inventory: 94.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $86,410, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class's resale value?

The current average of $96,148 sits slightly above last year's $92,989.

That upward move suggests the market is still willing to pay for this model year, which is a positive sign if you plan to sell later. The year-over-year increase also indicates that demand has remained healthy enough to support pricing even with a fairly limited inventory pool.

For a future seller, that means a well-kept example can still attract attention if it is priced in line with the market. Strong condition, clean history, and desirable equipment should matter a lot when you go to list it.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class safe?

The 2023 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class earns a Top Safety Pick+ rating from IIHS.

It earns a 10/10 safety score from our experts.

The standard safety setup includes pop-up roll bars to help protect occupants in a rollover and Pre-Safe Sound, which emits pink noise before a collision to help protect hearing. It also includes 10 airbags.

The available Driver Assistance Package adds 13 systems, including adaptive cruise control with lane-centering assist and lane-change assist, active emergency stop assist, and active braking for intersections, cross-traffic, and sudden congestion situations. The lane-keeping system is decisive, so it can be helpful when it is correcting a real drift, but it may feel intrusive when you do not want intervention.

Should I buy a 2023 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 34.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.1% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices are up 3.40% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• This year benefits from the added SL 43, which gives the lineup a more affordable entry point while still keeping the SL’s luxury-and-performance identity intact.

The bottom line: The 2023 is the right pick if you want the updated SL formula with strong demand, solid clean-history availability, and a broader lineup than the prior year. If you are especially price-sensitive, the nearby model years may still be worth comparing, but the 2023 stands out as the more complete shopping target because it adds a lower-cost path into the range without losing the car’s core appeal.
