Used 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC for Sale nearBirmingham, AL

How much does the 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC cost?

Prices have softened 9.86% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,458 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC a good car?

Yes — the 5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction, and the expert score is 6.3/10.

The model scores 7/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, and Safety.

The 2023 GLC is positioned as a polished small luxury SUV that emphasizes a refined, upscale feel over flash. Its strengths are straightforward: it is comfortable, uses premium interior materials, and is fuel-efficient. That makes it a strong fit if you want luxury that is easy to live with.

The trade-offs are just as clear, though, since it does not offer much cargo space and it is not especially exciting to drive. The expert notes also point to a smoother ride than rivals, but not the kind of engagement you would get from sportier alternatives.

37.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2023 GLC is described as a conservative redesign that builds on a formula that has already worked well for Mercedes. The expert notes also emphasize that the new model keeps the brand’s traditional luxury focus, with refinement and comfort at the center of the experience.

Its powertrain is described as smooth and linear, almost like an electric vehicle in the way it delivers acceleration. The cabin is also noted for being nearly silent, which supports the sense of durability and everyday ease that many used buyers want.

Mercedes also highlights smooth, trustworthy operation in its driver-assistance systems, and false alarms are described as extraordinarily rare. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that a premium SUV with limited cargo space and complex tech can be costly if you need repairs or want more utility than the GLC naturally provides.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the vehicle history report carefully and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you are considering a higher-mileage example or one with optional equipment. Focus on overall condition, since the GLC’s appeal depends heavily on its cabin quality, tech, and smooth driving feel.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The standard GLC 300 is the redesigned model, while the Coupe models are carryovers from the previous generation. The standard SUV has a more modern interior with a large vertical infotainment touchscreen and a tablet-like instrument panel, while the Coupe keeps the older layout and body style. If you want the newer cabin and cleaner design, the standard GLC 300 is the better fit.
• Powertrain: The GLC 300 uses a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system, making 255 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. Rear-wheel drive is standard, and 4Matic all-wheel drive is available. The setup is tuned for smooth, comfortable acceleration rather than sporty response.
• Safety package: Standard safety features include forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, a blind-spot monitor, adaptive headlights with automatic high beams, and a driver attention monitor. The optional Driver Assistance package adds adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, evasive steering assist, and emergency stop assist. The Coupe comes standard with cross-traffic alerts and the surround-view camera, but otherwise its Driver Assistance package is identical to the new GLC.
• Infotainment: The new setup centers on an 11.9-inch touchscreen. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, and the MBUX system has strong voice recognition. The screen sits lower on the dash, though, so it can be more distracting to use than the older layout.
• Fuel efficiency: The rear-wheel-drive GLC 300 is estimated at 25 mpg city, 32 mpg highway, and 28 mpg combined. The 4Matic version drops to 23 mpg city, 31 mpg highway, and 26 mpg combined.

Which 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC trim should I buy?

The 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC is offered in 1 trim level: GLC 300.

Here's the short version:

The GLC 300 is the trim to focus on because it delivers the redesigned cabin, the smooth turbocharged mild-hybrid powertrain, and the core luxury experience this model is built around. It is the best-value choice if you want the new-generation GLC without paying extra for more specialized variants.

The safety package is straightforward: the standard GLC 300 includes core driver-assistance features, while the optional Driver Assistance package adds the more advanced aids.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 37.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,458 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.86% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 87.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $37,007, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC's resale value?

The current average of $37,007 sits slightly below last year's $41,057.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer today but may temper what a future seller can expect. If you buy at the right price, you reduce the risk of taking an immediate depreciation hit.

The GLC’s strong reputation for comfort, premium materials, and fuel efficiency should help it remain appealing to shoppers who want a refined small luxury SUV. That said, resale value will still depend on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle was equipped and maintained.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC safe?

The previous GLC on which the returning Coupe is based received a five-out-of-five star rating from NHTSA for overall, frontal, and side crash protection. It also received top scores from the IIHS and was named a Top Safety Pick, its second-highest honor.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety features for the new GLC 300 include forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, a blind-spot monitor, adaptive headlights with automatic high beams, and a driver attention monitor. Adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, evasive steering assist, and emergency stop assist can be added with the optional Driver Assistance package. The Coupe comes standard with cross-traffic alerts and the surround-view camera but otherwise, its Driver Assistance package is identical to the new GLC.

Crash-test results for the new 2023 GLC 300 are not yet available, so the main caveat is that you are relying on Mercedes’ safety hardware and the previous model’s strong record rather than fresh test data for this exact version.

Should I buy a 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 37.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.86% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The redesign is subtle, but the bigger changes are inside and keep it near the top of the small luxury SUV class.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $41,262, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $37,007 average.
• It adds a broader lineup, including AMG variants and a more performance-focused direction.

The bottom line: If you want the best mix of price, inventory, and the core redesigned GLC experience, the 2023 is the smarter buy. If you are willing to spend more for a broader range of trims and a newer lineup structure, the 2024 is worth a look. Price-sensitive shoppers should start with the 2023 and focus on well-kept examples with strong history reports.
