Used 2023 Mazda CX-30 for Sale near Connecticut

How much does the 2023 Mazda CX-30 cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

There are 3,697 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Mazda CX-30 a good car?

Yes — 5/5 from users and 6.83/10 from experts. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Safety.

The 2023 CX-30 fits you well if you want a small crossover that feels more upscale than many rivals, with a classy interior and enjoyable driving dynamics. The trade-off is that the rear seat is cramped and cargo space is tight, so it works best if you value style and driving enjoyment more than maximum utility.

One drawback is the infotainment system, which is flawed and can be distracting to use. Another is that the limited rear-seat and cargo room may be a dealbreaker if you need more space.

Even so, 40.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are worthwhile opportunities in the market.

Is the 2023 Mazda CX-30 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The CX-30’s 2023 updates include a more powerful base engine and improved side-impact collision protection, which support its reputation as a well-rounded small crossover. It also pairs standard all-wheel drive with a refined driving character and a premium-feeling cabin, which are the kinds of traits that usually matter over the long haul.

Its performance story is also encouraging: the base engine gains power and fuel economy improves, while the turbocharged version delivers strong acceleration. If you want a used small SUV that feels thoughtfully engineered, this one has the right ingredients.

If you plan to keep it for years, the main ownership risk is that the cramped cabin and fussy infotainment may become more frustrating than mechanical concerns.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Mazda CX-30?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the vehicle history report carefully and prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage example or a turbo model. Focus on cabin condition, infotainment operation, and whether the vehicle’s features match the trim you expect.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base trim has cloth seats, while higher trims add artificial or genuine leather upholstery. The 2.5 S Premium and Turbo Premium also add an adaptive front lighting system, traffic sign recognition, and a head-up display.
• Powertrain: The 2.5 S uses a 191-horsepower 2.5-liter four-cylinder, while the turbocharged 2.5-liter version makes up to 250 horsepower on premium fuel and can run on regular fuel with less real-world compromise than you might expect.
• Safety package: Every CX-30 includes adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, a driver monitoring system, automatic high-beam headlights, and an E911 emergency notification system. Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is standard on all but the base trim.
• Infotainment: The standard setup uses an 8.8-inch display, Bluetooth, HD Radio, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and connected services with a Wi-Fi hotspot. It does not have a touchscreen, and the system lacks conversational voice recognition.
• Fuel efficiency: The base engine improves to 29 mpg in combined driving, and the turbocharged model averaged 23.6 mpg on the evaluation drive.

Which 2023 Mazda CX-30 trim should I buy?

The 2023 Mazda CX-30 is offered in 7 trim levels: base, Select, Preferred, Carbon Edition, Premium, Premium Plus, and 2.5 Turbo.

Here's the short version:

• base: This is the least expensive way into the CX-30, but it also has cloth seats and misses blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert. It makes sense only if you want the lowest entry price and can live with the fewest features.
• Select: This is the first trim that broadens the CX-30’s appeal without pushing too far upmarket. It’s the better starting point if you want a more complete everyday package than the base model.
• Preferred: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it moves you deeper into the CX-30’s upscale feel without jumping to the pricier upper trims.
• Carbon Edition: This trim adds a more distinctive look and keeps the CX-30’s premium vibe intact. It suits you if style matters as much as equipment.
• Premium: This is the trim to target if you want the stronger feature mix, including the adaptive front lighting system, traffic sign recognition, and head-up display.
• Premium Plus: This is the most fully equipped 2.5 S trim and is the right pick if you want the richest feature set without moving to the turbo model.
• 2.5 Turbo: This is the performance-oriented choice, with the turbocharged engine and the strongest acceleration. It makes the most sense if you care most about power and are willing to pay more for it.

All but the base trim include blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Mazda CX-30?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you have room to shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 40.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,697 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 86.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $22,513, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Mazda CX-30's resale value?

The current average of $23,487 sits slightly above last year's $23,290.

That small increase suggests the CX-30 has held its value fairly well in the near term. For you as a future seller, that kind of stability is helpful because it points to steady buyer interest rather than a market that is sliding quickly.

Its premium-feeling interior, strong safety reputation, and enjoyable driving character should help keep it appealing to used shoppers. The cramped rear seat and tight cargo area may limit some demand, but the overall package still supports healthy resale prospects.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Mazda CX-30 safe?

The 2023 Mazda CX-30 earns a Top Safety Pick rating from the IIHS.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Every CX-30 includes adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability, forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, a driver monitoring system, automatic high-beam headlights, and an E911 emergency notification system. Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is standard on all but the base trim, and higher trims add an adaptive front lighting system, traffic sign recognition, and a head-up display.

Mazda also improved side-impact crash protection for 2023 with standard rear side airbags and outboard rear seatbelt tensioners. The safety tech is strong overall, though the system can be a little overactive in some situations.

Should I buy a 2023 Mazda CX-30 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 40.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It adds a more powerful base engine and improved side-impact protection.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $22,220, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $23,487 average.
• It offers an upscale cabin and fun-to-drive character.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $23,291, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $23,487 average.
• It adds Select Sport and Carbon Turbo trims, USB-C ports, and a larger infotainment screen with wireless smartphone integration.

The bottom line: The 2023 is the best all-around pick if you want the updated powertrain and safety improvements without moving up in price much. If you’re especially price-sensitive, the 2022 is the value play; if you want newer tech, the 2024 is worth a look.
