Used 2023 Lexus RX for Sale nearCincinnati, OH

How much does the 2023 Lexus RX cost?

Prices have softened 6.30% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,935 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Lexus RX a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Lexus RX earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.17/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Cost effectiveness and Safety.

The RX is aimed at you if you want a luxury crossover SUV that emphasizes comfort, premium materials, and technology over outright excitement. The redesign keeps the RX’s familiar appeal while adding enough polish to feel current, and the cabin remains a clear strength.

The main trade-offs are a standard suspension that can feel unsettled on rough pavement, limited cargo space, and head-up display integration that isn’t especially strong. Even so, the market signal is healthy: 38.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

Is the 2023 Lexus RX reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The RX’s appeal is built around a reputation for being reliable, refined, safe, and stylish, and the 2023 model keeps that formula intact. It also leans into comfort and premium cabin quality, which are the kinds of traits that usually matter most when you plan to keep a vehicle for years.

The turbocharged 2.4-liter engine is described as a good choice, and Lexus says the RX 350 AWD should return 24 mpg in combined driving, which helps keep ownership costs in check. Lexus also includes three years of Drive Connect, which adds Destination Assist and Intelligent Assistant at no extra charge during that period.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that a poorly maintained example could be more expensive to live with than the RX’s reputation suggests, so condition and service history matter.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Lexus RX?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 88% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the vehicle history report carefully, because accident-free listings are common but not guaranteed. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on suspension behavior, cabin electronics, and any signs of uneven wear or prior bodywork. You should also pay close attention to how the ride feels on rough pavement, since that’s one of the RX’s known weak spots.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The RX 350 is offered in Standard, Premium, Premium+, Luxury, and F Sport Handling trim levels. The Standard trim gets the core RX experience, but higher trims add more upscale materials and equipment, while F Sport Handling brings a more controlled feel and adaptive damping suspension.
• Powertrain: The RX 350 uses a turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine with 275 horsepower and 317 pound-feet of torque paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Lexus says the AWD version should return 24 mpg in combined driving, and the turbo engine is described as a good choice even if it sounds less refined than the outgoing V6.
• Safety package: Every RX gets Lexus Safety System+ 3.0, which includes motorcycle detection, evasive steering assistance, intersection turn assistance with front cross-traffic alert, and curve speed reduction with adaptive cruise control. Proactive Driving Assist, Traffic Jam Assist, and Advanced Park Assist also debut, though some functions can be awkward to use in practice.
• Infotainment: The RX uses Lexus Interface with a 9.8-inch or 14-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, satellite radio, and connected services. Digital instrumentation is standard, and a digital rearview mirror and digital key smartphone technology are available.
• Fuel efficiency: Lexus expected the RX 350 FWD to average 25 mpg in combined driving and the AWD version 24 mpg. In testing, results were 22.5 mpg and 21.8 mpg, respectively.

Which 2023 Lexus RX trim should I buy?

The 2023 Lexus RX is offered in 5 trim levels: Standard, Premium, Premium+, Luxury, and F Sport Handling.

Here's the short version:

• Standard: This is the entry point to the RX 350 lineup, so it makes sense if you want the core luxury crossover experience without paying for extras. It still gives you the RX’s comfort, premium feel, and standard safety tech, but it’s the trim most likely to leave you wanting more equipment.
• Premium: This is the trim that should appeal to most shoppers because it adds meaningful equipment without pushing the RX into the highest price brackets. If you want the best balance of value and features, this is the one to focus on first.
• Premium+: Choose this if you want a more upscale feel and are willing to pay for additional convenience and comfort. It sits in the middle of the lineup and should suit you if you want a richer cabin without going all the way to the top trim.
• Luxury: This is the trim for you if cabin quality and a more indulgent experience matter most. It pairs well with the RX’s premium interior materials and is the version that best matches the model’s upscale personality.
• F Sport Handling: Pick this if you want the most controlled driving feel in the RX 350 lineup. It includes AWD and adaptive damping suspension, and it felt more sure-footed and secure in testing than the Luxury trim.

Every 2023 RX gets Lexus Safety System+ 3.0, so you’re not giving up the core safety suite by staying lower in the lineup.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Lexus RX?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 38.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,935 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.30% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 88.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $45,654, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Lexus RX's resale value?

The current average of $45,654 sits slightly below last year's $48,725.

That price movement suggests the RX has softened enough to give used buyers a better entry point, but it also means future sellers may need to be realistic about pricing. If you buy well now and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you may be better positioned when it’s time to resell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Lexus RX safe?

The 2023 RX earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Every 2023 RX gets Lexus Safety System+ 3.0, which includes motorcycle detection, evasive steering assistance, intersection turn assistance with front cross-traffic alert, and curve speed reduction with adaptive cruise control. It also adds Proactive Driving Assist, Traffic Jam Assist, and Advanced Park Assist, giving you a broad set of standard driver-assistance features.

There are a few caveats to keep in mind. The adaptive cruise controls can be hard to interpret when the vehicle is equipped with the head-up display, and polarized sunglasses can make some HUD-based warnings harder to see. The curve-speed reduction feature is also not especially predictive in practice.

Should I buy a 2023 Lexus RX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 38.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 88% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.30% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The redesign adds enough dynamic and technological polish to keep the RX feeling current.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $38,752, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $45,654 average.
• It is a carryover model with minimal changes.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $49,038, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $45,654 average.
• It emphasizes comfort, refinement, and fuel efficiency.

The bottom line: If you want the freshest version of the RX formula, the 2023 is the better primary choice because it adds meaningful updates while prices have already softened. If your priority is saving money, the 2022 is the smarter secondary path, while the 2024 makes sense only if you’re willing to pay more for a newer model year.
