Used 2023 Kia Telluride for Sale nearDurham, NC

How much does the 2023 Kia Telluride cost?

Prices have softened 10.14% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 6,054 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for shoppers comparing trims and prices.

Is the 2023 Kia Telluride a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Kia Telluride earns a 4.5/5 user rating and a 9/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Performance, Form and function, Cost effectiveness, Technology, and Safety.

Owners consistently praise the comfort, technology, and upscale feel, and many say it feels more luxurious than its price suggests. The expert review also highlights its stylish design and impressive technology, while describing it as an excellent family-size SUV. The main trade-offs are some cheap-feeling interior materials and a few usability quirks, including manual third-row seating and a steering wheel that could be better.

For a three-row family SUV, that mix makes sense: you get broad appeal, strong feature content, and a premium impression without moving into luxury-brand pricing. Good and great deals account for 38.3% of listings, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Kia Telluride reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with repeated praise for comfort, technology, and the sense that the vehicle holds up well over time. The expert review also reinforces that impression by describing the Telluride as a strong all-around package with long warranty coverage and broad appeal. Kia’s five-year/60,000-mile basic warranty and ten-year/100,000-mile powertrain coverage add another layer of confidence for used buyers.

For long-term ownership, your biggest risk is less about core reliability and more about finding a well-kept example with no hidden wear or neglect.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Kia Telluride?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on any candidate, even if the listing looks clean at first glance. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on higher-mileage examples or vehicles with off-road use, since trim-specific equipment and suspension changes can affect wear. Focus on interior condition, electronics, and seat mechanisms, because this model’s appeal depends heavily on comfort and feature quality.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The X-Line adds a raised suspension, unique grille design, raised roof rails, body-color door handles, and black 20-inch wheels, while the X-Pro adds exclusive 18-inch wheels and all-terrain tires. The base trims do not get those more rugged visual and hardware upgrades, so if you want the more adventurous look and stance, you’ll need to shop higher in the lineup.
• Powertrain: The Telluride uses a 3.8-liter V6 with 291 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. AWD is available, and the X-Line and X-Pro add off-road-oriented tuning changes, including a low-speed Lock setting on AWD models.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward-collision warning, pedestrian and cyclist detection, junction turning assist, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear parking sensors, rear cross-traffic alert with automatic braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, Safe Exit Assist, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, Intelligent Speed Limit Assist, Highway Drive Assist 1.5, automatic high beams, driver attention warning, and Rear Occupant Alert. Highway Drive Assist 2.0 is standard starting with SX trim, and SX trim or higher adds additional collision-avoidance features plus front parking sensors, a surround-view camera with forward view, and Blind-Spot View Monitor.
• Infotainment: Every model gets a standard 12.3-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, SiriusXM satellite radio, navigation, Kia Connect services, a Wi-Fi hotspot, over-the-air updates, and Bluetooth pairing for two devices. Wireless smartphone charging is available, and the system also supports Driver Talk and Quiet Mode.
• Fuel efficiency: The expert drive returned 24.1 mpg in one test and 20.4 mpg in another, while official EPA fuel economy for AWD models is 21 mpg combined.

Which 2023 Kia Telluride trim should I buy?

The 2023 Kia Telluride is offered in 5 trim levels: LX, S, EX, SX, and SX Prestige.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the entry point, so it makes sense if you want the Telluride’s core space, safety, and standard tech at the lowest price. It gives you the full-size family-SUV experience without paying for the extra luxury and convenience features found higher up.
• S: This is the value-minded step up if you want a little more equipment without jumping too far in price. It should suit you if you want a balanced mix of everyday comfort and added features.
• EX: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it sits in the middle of the lineup and can be paired with the X-Line package. If you want the sweet spot between price and equipment, this is the trim to focus on.
• SX: This is the trim to choose if you want the more advanced driver-assistance content, including Highway Drive Assist 2.0 and the extra collision-avoidance features. It also unlocks more convenience and visibility tech, making it the right pick if you want a more premium-feeling Telluride.
• SX Prestige: This is the top luxury-oriented choice, especially if you want the most upscale version of the Telluride experience. It pairs well with the X-Line or X-Pro packages if you want the most feature-rich and visually distinctive setup.

Safety-package note: Highway Drive Assist 2.0 starts with SX trim, and the extra collision-avoidance and camera-based features also begin there.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Kia Telluride?

The market looks moderate and selective, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay patient.

• Deal availability: 38.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 6,054 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.14% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 86.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $31,915, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Kia Telluride's resale value?

The current average of $31,915 sits slightly below last year's $35,517.

That price movement suggests the Telluride has already absorbed some depreciation, which can help future sellers if they buy at the right price today. A softer market now can also mean less upside for immediate resale, so condition and trim choice matter more than ever. If you buy a clean, well-equipped example, you’re more likely to preserve value than if you overpay for a rougher one.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Highway Drive Assist 2.0 is standard starting with SX trim, and SX trim or higher adds more collision-avoidance features, front parking sensors, low-speed automatic braking while parking, a surround-view camera with forward view, and Blind-Spot View Monitor.

Should I buy a 2023 Kia Telluride or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 38.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.14% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It adds minor styling changes, new technologies, and X-Line/X-Pro trims with a more rugged attitude.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $26,516, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $31,915 average.
• It adds more standard equipment and strong value.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $35,495, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $31,915 average.
• It adds minor detail updates and a more polished look.

The bottom line: If you want the best mix of price, features, and current-market availability, the 2023 is the smart default. If your budget is tighter, the 2022 is the value play; if you want the newest nearby version and don’t mind paying more, the 2024 is the cleaner upgrade path.
