How much does the 2023 Kia Sorento cost?

Prices have softened 5.95% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 3,525 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2023 Kia Sorento a good car?

The 2023 Kia Sorento is a balanced choice if you want a midsize SUV with family-friendly space, a three-row layout, and a wide spread of powertrain and trim choices. Its cabin leans more upscale than earlier Sorento generations, and the model’s broad feature set makes it appealing if you want versatility in one package. The user rating is 3.67/5.

That mix of room, polish, and configuration variety makes it especially relevant if you want a practical SUV that still feels a bit more premium than its price suggests. 37.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Kia Sorento reliable?

The 2023 Kia Sorento comes with a strong safety and convenience foundation, including collision warning, lane-keep assist, rear cross-traffic collision-avoidance assist, blind-spot monitoring, and rear automatic braking. It also offers a blind-spot view camera, though that feature may be more distracting than helpful in some situations.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure the specific vehicle you choose has been maintained well and hasn’t accumulated hidden wear from family use or higher-mileage driving.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Kia Sorento?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, even when a listing looks clean on paper. Prioritize a thorough inspection of the interior, third-row condition, and any signs of heavy family use, since those areas can reveal how the SUV was treated. Focus on overall mechanical and cosmetic condition, especially if you’re considering a higher-trim model with more equipment.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Kia Sorento?

This is a moderate buyer’s market, so you can be selective without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 37.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,525 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.95% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 87.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $26,851, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Kia Sorento's resale value?

The current average of $26,851 sits slightly below last year's $28,549.

That price movement suggests the Sorento has already given up some value, which can help you as a buyer today. For a future seller, it means resale may depend heavily on condition, mileage, and trim because the market is already pricing this model year below where it was a year ago. If you buy well now, you may have a better chance of limiting depreciation later.

Should I buy a 2023 Kia Sorento or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 37.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.95% compared with last year.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $23,231, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $26,851 average.
• It adds efficiency-focused hybrid options and a more established feature set.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $29,111, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $26,851 average.
• It brings fresher styling and easier-to-use tech.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, inventory, and feature content, the 2023 is the primary path to consider. If your budget is tighter, the 2022 is the better price-sensitive alternative, while the 2024 makes sense if you want newer updates and can spend more.
