The owner feedback also points to a dependable-feeling ownership experience, with praise for its smooth ride and overall comfort over time. That said, some shoppers should pay close attention to the durability of certain electronic features before buying. For used buyers, the biggest long-term risk is ending up with a truck that looks appealing on paper but needs extra attention to its tech and condition history.

Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should start with a history report and confirm the truck has no accident or title issues. Then prioritize a thorough inspection of the electronic features, since owners have raised durability concerns in that area. It also makes sense to evaluate the bed and payload-related condition carefully so you know the truck still fits your needs.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Hyundai Santa Cruz?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 35.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,736 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.76% compared with last year.

What is the 2023 Hyundai Santa Cruz's resale value?

The current average of $24,793 sits slightly below last year's $26,307.

That softer pricing can help you buy at a more favorable entry point, but it also suggests resale values may be under some pressure compared with last year. If you plan to sell later, buying well matters more, because a lower purchase price gives you more room to preserve value. Strong owner satisfaction can still help support demand when it is time to resell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.88/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Hyundai Santa Cruz or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 35.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.76% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.88/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $22,695, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $24,793 average.
• It offers a distinctive, car-like compact pickup feel.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $26,817, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $24,793 average.
• It adds a few new touches while keeping the same quirky, utility-focused formula.

The bottom line: The 2023 is the best all-around starting point if you want a strong mix of owner satisfaction, inventory choice, and softer pricing. If your priority is saving money, the 2022 is the better value play; if you want the newest version and can spend more, the 2024 is the natural upgrade path.
