What is the 2023 Hyundai Santa Cruz's resale value?

That softer pricing can help you buy at a more favorable entry point, but it also means future resale will depend on how well the market continues to value this model year. If prices stabilize, owners who buy near the low end of the range may have a better chance of limiting depreciation. Strong owner satisfaction can also help support demand when you eventually sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Hyundai Santa Cruz or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 31.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.95% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $22,431, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $24,814 average.
• It introduced Hyundai's distinctive compact pickup formula.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $26,587, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $24,814 average.
• It adds a few updates while keeping the same formula.

The bottom line: The 2023 is the best all-around pick if you want a strong mix of value, owner satisfaction, and available inventory. If your priority is spending less, the 2022 is the better price-sensitive alternative, while the 2024 makes sense if you want to pay more for the newer model-year option.
