How much does the 2023 Ford Expedition cost?

Prices have softened 4.95% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 3,977 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for shoppers comparing trims and conditions.

Is the 2023 Ford Expedition a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Ford Expedition earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its family-friendly features, generous space for car seats, and comfortable ride. It also gets credit for decent gas mileage for a large vehicle and good power, which fits well if you want a spacious full-size SUV for daily family use or long trips. With 33.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance to find a competitive offer.

Is the 2023 Ford Expedition reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also emphasizes that the Expedition feels dependable in the ways that matter most to used buyers: it delivers comfort, space, and useful family features without feeling flimsy. The recurring praise for its long-term usefulness and trouble-free ownership experience is a positive sign if you want a large SUV you can count on.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure the specific vehicle has been maintained well, since a large family SUV can be expensive to sort out if prior care was inconsistent.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Ford Expedition?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 86% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should start with the history report to confirm there are no hidden accident or title issues, even if the listing looks clean. After that, prioritize a thorough inspection of the cabin, electronics, and ride quality, since this model is all about family comfort and technology. Focus especially on overall condition and signs of heavy use, because a large SUV can hide wear better than a smaller vehicle.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Ford Expedition?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer's market, so you can shop carefully and still find value.

• Deal availability: 33.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,977 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.95% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 86.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $44,730, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Ford Expedition's resale value?

The current average of $45,244 sits slightly below last year's $47,601.

That softer pricing can help you buy more confidently now, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays soft. For a seller, the current trend suggests you should expect value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and equipment rather than broad market appreciation. Well-kept examples should still attract interest because the Expedition appeals to shoppers who want a roomy, family-focused full-size SUV.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Ford Expedition or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 33.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 86% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.95% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $38,703, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $45,244 average.
• It offers strong presence and substance.

The bottom line: Choose the 2023 if you want the stronger current-market balance of satisfaction, inventory, and pricing. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2022 is the better value path, especially if you find one in excellent condition.
