What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Chevrolet Traverse?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should start with a history report to confirm accident status, title status, and service records. Then prioritize a thorough inspection of the cabin, electronics, and overall condition, since family use can mean heavy wear on seats, controls, and trim. If possible, test the third row, climate controls, and infotainment features to make sure everything works as expected.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Chevrolet Traverse?

This is a moderate buyer’s market, so you have room to be selective without waiting forever.

• Deal availability: 36.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 6,323 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.17% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 85.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $29,645, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Chevrolet Traverse's resale value?

The current average of $29,645 sits slightly below last year's $33,002.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point. For future resale, a lower purchase price can reduce your depreciation exposure if you keep the vehicle in strong condition. Demand should remain supported by the model’s family-friendly space and broad appeal to shoppers who want a practical three-row SUV.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Chevrolet Traverse or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 36.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.17% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $24,645, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $29,645 average.
• It offers straightforward space and usability for families.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $37,958, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $29,645 average.
• It adds more space and a larger touchscreen.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, satisfaction, and market availability, the 2023 is the primary path to consider. If your budget is tighter, the 2022 is the better price-sensitive alternative. If you want the newer design and added features, it makes sense to stretch to the 2024.
