Used 2023 BMW X1 for Sale nearMinneapolis, MN

How much does the 2023 BMW X1 cost?

Prices have softened 5.42% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,010 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 BMW X1 a good car?

Yes — the 2023 BMW X1 earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.83/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Performance and Form and function.

It fits well if you want a small luxury crossover that feels more polished than many rivals while still offering useful capability and plenty of cargo space. The standard all-wheel drive and premium interior materials support that upscale, all-weather use case.

The main trade-offs are that some advanced safety features are not standard, and the features many shoppers want can push the price up significantly. Even so, the market shows 36.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2023 BMW X1 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2023 X1 is presented as a refined evolution with stronger capability, and its standard all-wheel drive adds confidence for year-round use. The expert evaluation also points to a cabin that feels premium and a driving character that is lively without giving up utility.

Its performance setup is described as more powerful than before, with a new dual-clutch transmission and upgraded suspension tuning that help it feel stable and agile. That combination suggests a well-sorted ownership experience, though used buyers should still pay close attention to maintenance history and overall condition because premium features can raise repair and upkeep exposure over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 BMW X1?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report, confirm the service record, and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection if you’re considering a higher-mileage example or one with expensive options. Focus on the condition of the interior tech, the wheels and tires, and any signs that the vehicle has seen hard use or curb damage.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The cabin feels distinctly premium, with the BMW Curved Display, standard LED headlights and taillights, and available upgrades such as the M Sport Package and Premium Package. The base setup leaves some desirable equipment for higher-spec builds, so you should check carefully for the features you want.
• Powertrain: The 2.0-liter twin-turbo four-cylinder makes 241 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque, and the seven-speed dual-clutch transmission is part of the new setup. It is described as quicker and more capable than before, with a 0-60 time of 6.2 seconds and towing capacity up to 3,500 pounds.
• Safety package: Active blind-spot detection is standard and includes exit warning. Standard front-collision warning adds pedestrian and cyclist detection with brake intervention. Active Driving Assistant Professional is available and adds speed limit assist, extended traffic-jam assistant, lane departure warning, and adaptive cruise control with stop & go.
• Infotainment: The BMW Curved Display combines a 10.7-inch infotainment screen and a 10.25-inch driver information display. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are included, and Live Cockpit Plus is standard. Live Cockpit Professional adds a full-color head-up display and augmented reality navigation.
• Fuel efficiency: The EPA rates it at 25 mpg city, 34 highway, and 28 combined.

Which 2023 BMW X1 trim should I buy?

The 2023 BMW X1 is offered in 1 trim level: xDrive28i.

Here's the short version:

The xDrive28i is the one to buy because it is the only trim and already gives you the core X1 formula: standard all-wheel drive, strong performance, premium materials, and the latest BMW Curved Display tech. If you want the best value, start here and add only the packages you truly need, since the available upgrades can push the price up quickly.

Safety-wise, active blind-spot detection is standard, while Active Driving Assistant Professional is available if you want a more advanced driver-assistance suite.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 BMW X1?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage but still need to move quickly on the right listing.

• Deal availability: 36.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,010 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.42% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 90.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $30,482, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 BMW X1's resale value?

The current average of $30,576 sits slightly below last year's $32,326.

That decline suggests the market has softened enough to help you buy more favorably today, but it also means a future seller may need to price competitively to stand out. If you buy well now, you may have a better chance of limiting depreciation pressure later.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.42% compared with last year.
