The 2023 Audi A4’s appeal comes from its refined setup, updated interior tech, and available mild-hybrid powertrain, all of which support a more polished ownership experience. Its final-generation status also means you’re shopping a mature version of the model with the benefit of later updates to the cabin and drivetrain.

That price movement suggests the market has eased a bit, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point today. Should I buy a 2023 Audi A4 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 38.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.60% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $22,964, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $27,967 average.
• It still feels fresh and modern despite its age.

The bottom line: Choose the 2023 if you want the newer market position, stronger deal availability, and a mature version of the A4’s tech-forward formula. If your priority is saving money upfront, the 2022 is the better value path and still delivers many of the same core strengths.
