Used 2023 Acura TLX for Sale nearPittsburgh, PA

How much does the 2023 Acura TLX cost?

Prices have softened 1.46% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 557 listings available, which suggests a modest amount of inventory for shoppers to compare.

Is the 2023 Acura TLX a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Acura TLX earns a 4.5/5 user rating and a 6.5/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Look and feel, Performance, and Safety.

The TLX’s appeal is strongest if you want a luxury sports sedan that emphasizes style, comfort, and driving enjoyment. Acura’s own assessment and the expert review both point to a car that feels engaging from behind the wheel while still delivering a comfortable ride for everyday use.

The main trade-offs are the poor ergonomic design and the cramped back seat, along with limited cargo space. That means you should think of it as a driver-focused sedan rather than a family-hauler or utility-first choice.

The market shows 30.0% of listings as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Acura TLX reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The TLX’s reliability case is helped by its balanced everyday character and the fact that Acura positions it as a premium sports sedan with a comfortable ride and strong driving appeal. The expert review also notes that the car’s performance hardware and overall execution make it feel well sorted in normal use.

The performance content points to a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder with a 10-speed automatic in most versions, plus a turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 in the Type S. It also describes the SH-AWD system as using mechanical torque vectoring to help maximize power, grip, and control.

Acura also includes two years or 24,000 miles of complimentary scheduled maintenance, which can reduce early ownership costs.

For a used buyer, the main long-term risk is that the TLX’s complicated controls and performance-oriented hardware may make condition and maintenance history especially important.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Acura TLX?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 80.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a vehicle history report on any candidate and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the car has been driven hard or shows signs of curb rash, scraping, or interior wear. Focus on the cabin controls, the infotainment setup, and the rear-seat and cargo-area condition, since those are the areas where the TLX’s compromises are most obvious.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base car emphasizes style and comfort, but the layout and feature set are less convenient than higher trims. The Type S adds more performance hardware and equipment, while the Advance trim adds more convenience and visibility features.
• Powertrain: Most versions use a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder with a 10-speed automatic, while the Type S adds a turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 and SH-AWD. The four-cylinder is the efficiency play, while the Type S is the enthusiast choice.
• Safety package: AcuraWatch is standard and includes forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, automatic high beams, traffic sign recognition, adaptive cruise control with low-speed following, and Traffic Jam Assist. Blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and front and rear parking sensors are included on every trim except the base model.
• Infotainment: The system uses a 10.2-inch display with a touchpad interface rather than a touchscreen. Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, SiriusXM satellite radio, and AcuraLink connected services are standard, but wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are not supported.
• Fuel efficiency: Most versions of the 2.0-liter engine should return between 24 mpg and 25 mpg in combined driving. The Type S is estimated at 21 mpg combined and averaged 20 mpg in testing.

Which 2023 Acura TLX trim should I buy?

The 2023 Acura TLX is offered in 4 trim levels: base TLX, Technology Package, A-Spec Package, and Advance Package.

Here's the short version:

• base TLX: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core TLX design and standard AcuraWatch safety suite. It makes sense if you want the lowest starting price and can live without the extra convenience and driver-assistance equipment found higher up.
• Technology Package: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds useful equipment without pushing the TLX into the more expensive performance-oriented territory. It also brings the extra safety content that the base model misses.
• A-Spec Package: Choose this if you want a more expressive look and the option of SH-AWD. It suits buyers who want a sportier feel and more flexibility in drivetrain choice.
• Advance Package: This is the most comfort- and convenience-focused version, and it’s the one to choose if you want the most upscale daily-driver experience. It also gets the extra visibility and parking aids that help offset the TLX’s tight dimensions.

The safety package is strongest on trims above the base model, since those versions add blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and front and rear parking sensors.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Acura TLX?

The market looks moderately favorable if you’re a selective buyer.

• Deal availability: 30.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 557 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.46% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 80.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $33,236, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Acura TLX's resale value?

The current average of $34,928 sits slightly below last year's $35,444.

That tells you the TLX has softened a bit in the market, which can work in your favor as a buyer but may temper short-term resale expectations if you plan to sell soon. The current pricing trend suggests the model is holding value reasonably well, but not appreciating.

For a future seller, the key will be condition, trim desirability, and how well the car has been maintained. Higher-spec versions with stronger equipment and cleaner histories should be easier to market than neglected examples.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Acura TLX safe?

The 2023 TLX earns a Top Safety Pick+ rating from IIHS and a five-star overall crash-test rating from NHTSA, including a five-star rollover resistance rating and a four-star rating for the front passenger in a frontal-impact collision.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

AcuraWatch is standard and includes forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, automatic high beams, traffic sign recognition, adaptive cruise control with low-speed following, and Traffic Jam Assist. Higher trims add blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and front and rear parking sensors, while the Type S adds rain-sensing wipers and a wiper de-icer.

One caveat is that the lane-keeping systems can issue false alerts in some road conditions, and the front passenger’s frontal-impact rating is lower than the rest of the NHTSA results.

Should I buy a 2023 Acura TLX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 30.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 80.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.46% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2023 combines stylish design, fun-to-drive character, and a comfortable ride.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $32,107, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $34,928 average.
• It offers road presence, sharp handling, and premium materials.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $36,700, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $34,928 average.
• It adds a new grille and bigger screens while keeping the same core performance.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, style, and driving enjoyment, the 2023 is the sweet spot. If you’re more price-sensitive, the 2022 is the smarter value play, while the 2024 makes sense only if you want the newer look and updated screens.
