Used 2022 Toyota Corolla Cross for Sale nearTacoma, WA

How much does the 2022 Toyota Corolla Cross cost?

Prices have softened 4.25% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 865 listings available, which suggests you have a workable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 Toyota Corolla Cross a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Toyota Corolla Cross earns a 5/5 user rating and a 6.7/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 8/10.

Owners consistently praise its surprising power, excellent ride comfort, spacious interior, and all-wheel drive for winter driving. That lines up with the Corolla Cross’s role as a practical small SUV that brings Corolla familiarity into a more upright crossover package.

The trade-offs are fairly pedestrian performance and uncomfortable seats. Even so, the overall package should fit you well if you want a straightforward, easy-to-live-with crossover rather than something sporty or plush.

It also sits in a market where 35.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 Toyota Corolla Cross reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a trouble-free, dependable experience, with many shoppers highlighting the vehicle’s long-term appeal and confidence in daily use. The expert drive notes also emphasize Toyota’s solid, familiar platform and a powertrain that feels durable in normal driving.

Toyota includes free scheduled maintenance for two years or 25,000 miles, which helps reduce early ownership costs. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is making sure the vehicle has been maintained properly, since the first-year model’s value depends heavily on condition and service history.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Toyota Corolla Cross?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 80% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the vehicle history report carefully, because accident-free status does not guarantee a clean mechanical past. A pre-purchase inspection is especially important if you’re considering a higher-mileage example or one with incomplete service records.

Focus on seat condition, interior wear, and how the infotainment and driver-assist features operate in real-world use. Since this model’s appeal is tied to practicality and ease of ownership, you want one that feels well cared for rather than merely low-priced.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Base L models get 17-inch steel wheels and a more basic cabin, while LE models add 17-inch alloy wheels and the XLE gets 18-inch alloy wheels, LED daytime running lights, fog lights, SofTex leatherette upholstery, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. The base trim is the most stripped-down, so the LE is likely the better value if you want a more complete feel without jumping to the top trim.
• Powertrain: Every model uses a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 169 horsepower and a CVT, and there is no manual transmission. The transmission includes a first gear for better off-the-line response, while AWD is available if you want extra traction.
• Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 is standard and includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams, traffic-sign recognition, and Lane Tracing Assist automated lane centering. LE models add blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert, while XLE models add rear automatic braking and front and rear park assist with automatic braking.
• Infotainment: The base model gets a 7-inch touchscreen, while LE and XLE models get an 8-inch screen and the XLE adds a 7-inch digital instrument cluster. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, along with Bluetooth, WiFi, Amazon Alexa compatibility, and SiriusXM satellite radio.
• Fuel efficiency: Toyota expects 33 mpg combined with FWD and 30 mpg combined with AWD, with estimated city/highway figures of 31 mpg city and 32 mpg highway for FWD, and 29 mpg city and 32 mpg highway for AWD.

Which 2022 Toyota Corolla Cross trim should I buy?

The 2022 Toyota Corolla Cross is offered in 3 trim levels: L, LE, and XLE.

Here's the short version:

• L: This is the least expensive way into the Corolla Cross, but it’s also the most basic. You get the core Corolla Cross formula, standard safety tech, and the 7-inch touchscreen, so it works if your priority is keeping the price down.
• LE: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds the 8-inch touchscreen, wireless charging, a rear USB port, pushbutton start, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. It gives you the biggest step up in everyday convenience and safety without moving all the way to the top trim.
• XLE: This is the most fully equipped version, with 18-inch alloy wheels, LED daytime running lights, fog lights, SofTex upholstery, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, the digital instrument cluster, rear automatic braking, and front and rear park assist with automatic braking. Choose it if you want the most comfort and the most available driver-assist hardware.

The safety package is standard across the lineup, but the LE and XLE add meaningful extras that make them easier to recommend.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Toyota Corolla Cross?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 35.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 865 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.25% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 80% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $23,173, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Toyota Corolla Cross's resale value?

The current average of $23,473 sits slightly below last year's $24,515.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable point in the cycle. If you plan to sell later, the current softness means your future resale value will depend heavily on mileage, condition, and trim desirability.

Because the Corolla Cross is still a practical, mainstream crossover, well-kept examples should remain easy to explain to future buyers. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Toyota Corolla Cross safe?

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 is standard and includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams, traffic-sign recognition, and Lane Tracing Assist automated lane centering. LE models add blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert, while XLE models add rear automatic braking and front and rear park assist with automatic braking.

Crash-test ratings were not available yet for this model year, so you should lean more heavily on the standard safety equipment and the trim-level upgrades when comparing used examples.

Should I buy a 2022 Toyota Corolla Cross or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 35.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 80% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Prices have softened 4.25% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The first-year Corolla Cross gives you Toyota’s familiar compact-SUV formula with standard safety tech, easy-to-use infotainment, and available AWD.

The bottom line: The 2022 makes sense if you want the Corolla Cross formula at a lower used price and you’re comfortable shopping carefully for condition and equipment. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare it with other compact SUVs in the segment, but this year still offers a solid mix of value, safety, and everyday usability.
