Used 2022 Porsche Macan for Sale nearAuburn, CA

How much does the 2022 Porsche Macan cost?

Prices have softened 7.96% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,493 listings available, which gives you a meaningful amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2022 Porsche Macan a good car?

The 2022 Porsche Macan is a strong fit if you want a compact luxury SUV that prioritizes driving enjoyment over maximum utility, and its 3.5/5 user rating and 7/10 expert rating reflect that split. It earns 10/10 across Look and feel and Performance.

The Macan’s appeal comes through clearly in its stylish design, premium interior materials, and sports-car-like road manners. At the same time, the trade-offs are real: the back seat is cramped, cargo space is limited, and the infotainment system is unimpressive.

For you, that means the Macan makes the most sense if you value feel, handling, and brand character more than everyday space and tech polish. The market also shows 37.4% of listings as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 Porsche Macan reliable?

The 2022 Porsche Macan is presented as a well-engineered SUV with strong performance and no reported issues in the expert evaluation, and its standard equipment works as expected in testing. The performance notes also point to a refined drivetrain and chassis setup that feels composed and capable in daily driving.

The expert evaluation describes the Macan’s systems as behaving as expected, without accuracy, refinement, or sophistication problems. It also notes that Porsche’s first scheduled maintenance visit is included, which helps soften early ownership costs a bit.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about outright mechanical weakness and more about the cost of owning a premium performance SUV if you need repairs, options, or upkeep over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Porsche Macan?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the vehicle history carefully, because a clean report matters even when the market looks healthy. A pre-purchase inspection is especially important on a premium SUV like this, since you want to confirm that the brakes, suspension, electronics, and interior condition all match the seller’s description. Pay close attention to wear on the cabin and any signs that the car has been driven hard, because the Macan’s appeal is tied closely to how well it has been maintained.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup includes the Macan base model, the Macan S, and the Macan GTS. The base model gets the core sporty look and premium cabin, while the higher trims add more power and more standard equipment. The base trim is the one most likely to leave you wanting more if you care about stronger acceleration and richer equipment.
• Powertrain: Base Macans use a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 261 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. The Macan S uses a twin-turbo 2.9-liter V6 with 375 hp and 383 lb-ft, while the Macan GTS gets a 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 with 434 hp and 406 lb-ft. All versions use Porsche’s seven-speed PDK dual-clutch automatic transmission and a fully variable all-wheel-drive system.
• Safety package: Every 2022 Macan has adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, and a reversing camera. Blind-spot monitoring is optional, as is lane-keeping assist. The test vehicle had blind-spot monitoring through the Premium Package, but not lane-keeping assist.
• Infotainment: Every Macan gets a 10.9-inch touchscreen with Porsche Communication Management, wireless Apple CarPlay, SiriusXM satellite radio, navigation, connected services, and available WiFi hotspot access. Android users do not get the same wireless smartphone integration here.
• Fuel efficiency: The Macan S test vehicle returned 18.1 mpg in real-world driving, close to its official 19 mpg rating.

Which 2022 Porsche Macan trim should I buy?

The 2022 Porsche Macan is offered in 3 trim levels: Macan base model, Macan S, and Macan GTS.

Here's the short version:

• Macan base model: This is the entry point if you want the Macan’s core styling, premium feel, and standard all-wheel drive without stretching to the pricier versions. It makes the most sense if you care more about the badge and driving character than maximum power.
• Macan S: This is the best-value choice for most shoppers because it adds the stronger twin-turbo V6 and more standard equipment while staying below the GTS. If you want the sweet spot between performance and price, this is the trim to focus on.
• Macan GTS: This is the one to choose if you want the most power and the most aggressive performance character in the lineup. It suits you best if driving excitement matters more than value.

Every 2022 Macan includes adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, and a reversing camera, while blind-spot monitoring and lane-keeping assist remain optional.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Porsche Macan?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 37.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,493 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.96% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 89.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $45,034, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Porsche Macan's resale value?

The current average of $45,034 sits slightly below last year's $48,928.

That price movement suggests the Macan has softened enough to create a better entry point for used buyers than it had a year ago. If you buy well now, you may have less downside risk than someone who paid closer to last year’s average.

For a future seller, the key takeaway is that the Macan still holds premium appeal, but its resale value will depend heavily on trim, condition, mileage, and equipment. Well-kept examples with desirable options should remain easier to move than neglected or lightly equipped ones.

Is the 2022 Porsche Macan safe?

The 2022 Porsche Macan does not have published crash-test ratings from either NHTSA or IIHS.

It earns a 4/10 safety score from our experts.

Every 2022 Macan has adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, and a reversing camera. Blind-spot monitoring is optional, as is lane-keeping assist, and the test vehicle included blind-spot monitoring through the Premium Package but not lane-keeping assist.

The main safety caveat is that the Macan trails more advanced rivals in driver-assistance technology, so you should not expect the most comprehensive suite in the class.

Should I buy a 2022 Porsche Macan or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 37.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.96% compared with last year.
• The 2022 model stands out for its sports-car-like driving character, fresh styling updates, and premium interior materials.

The bottom line: The 2022 is the right pick if you want the Macan’s strongest blend of performance feel and updated design at a softer used price. If you’re more price-sensitive, a nearby model year may still make sense, but the 2022 gives you a compelling mix of character and market value.
