Is the 2022 Nissan Versa a good car?

The 2022 Nissan Versa is a moderate-value choice in this market, with an average used price of $13,787 and a good-and-great-deals share of 32.5%. That combination points to a model year where you can still find appealing pricing if you shop carefully.

With 628 listings available and 71.7% of them accident-free, you have enough selection to focus on condition and value rather than settling quickly.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Nissan Versa?

At 71.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report on any promising listing and confirm whether the car has had collision repairs, title issues, or repeated ownership changes. A pre-purchase inspection should be a priority, especially if the price looks unusually low or the listing photos suggest cosmetic wear. Focus on overall condition, maintenance records, and signs that the car has been used gently.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Nissan Versa?

This is a selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 32.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 628 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.10% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 71.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $13,475, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Nissan Versa's resale value?

The current average of $13,787 sits slightly below last year's $15,167.

That softer pricing can help you buy at a more favorable entry point today, but it also means future resale gains may be limited if the market stays soft. If you plan to sell later, condition and mileage will matter even more because the model is already trading below its prior-year level. A clean history and strong maintenance record should help you protect more of your value.

Should I buy a 2022 Nissan Versa or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 32.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 71.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.10% compared with last year.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $15,544, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $13,787 average.
• It adds freshened styling and more available tech features.

The bottom line:
Choose the 2022 if your priority is lower purchase price and stronger deal availability. If you want newer styling and more tech, the 2023 is the better fit, but you’ll pay more for it. For price-sensitive buyers, the 2022 is the more compelling value play.
