Used 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLE for Sale near Arizona

How much does the 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLE cost?

Prices have softened 11.44% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,539 listings available, which suggests you should have a workable selection to compare.

Is the 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLE a good car?

Generally — the 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLE earns a 4.25/5 user rating and a 7.67/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Safety at 10/10.

The overview points to a low-roofed SUV coupe that leans hard into style while still keeping its utility roots, so you’re shopping for something more expressive than a conventional SUV. The expert review backs that up with praise for the powerful engine and impressive technology, which are the main reasons this model feels compelling.

The trade-offs are clear: the design may divide opinion, and the overall package is described as poor value for money. Advanced safety features are not standard, so you may need to shop carefully if you want the full suite of driver aids.

With 36.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to be selective while still finding a competitive example.

Is the 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLE reliable?

Owners rate it 4.25/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview suggests a vehicle that emphasizes premium materials, technology, and a distinctive coupe shape, while the expert review adds that the powertrain and cabin execution are strong points. The performance notes also point to a robust turbocharged inline-six with EQ Boost, which is designed to add extra power when you need it and otherwise help the SUV conserve fuel.

On the ownership side, the cost-effectiveness notes mention complimentary scheduled maintenance for three years on a rival, which underscores how important maintenance coverage can be in this segment. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that a complex, high-feature luxury SUV can become expensive if prior maintenance was inconsistent.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLE?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on any candidate and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on a luxury SUV with advanced electronics and available driver-assistance tech. Focus on overall condition, evidence of careful maintenance, and whether the equipment level matches the listing description.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The cabin is described as sumptuous, with high-end materials, dual-screen instrumentation and infotainment, and ambient lighting, but the complexity can make the controls feel less intuitive at first. Base-trim equipment gaps matter here because advanced safety features are not standard.
• Powertrain: The AMG GLE 53 Coupe uses a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six with 429 hp and 384 pound-feet of torque, plus EQ Boost and a SpeedShift nine-speed automatic. It is tuned for strong acceleration and can feel taut and nimble, but the sporty setup and large wheels can make rough pavement less forgiving.
• Safety package: The standard safety setup includes forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, forward automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, Pre Safe Sound, and Emergency Call Service. If you want every safety system Mercedes offers, the Driver Assistance Package adds 15 more systems, including Traffic Jam Assist, Active Lane Change Assist, and Active Emergency Stop Assist.
• Infotainment: MBUX uses dual 12.3-inch screens and includes navigation, satellite radio, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Mercedes Me connected services, wireless smartphone charging, and a Burmester surround-sound system. Voice control is a standout, while the center-console touchpad can be easy to activate by accident.
• Fuel efficiency: The EPA says the test vehicle should have returned 19 mpg in combined driving, and the test result was 18.5 mpg.

Which 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLE trim should I buy?

The 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLE is offered in 1 trim level: AMG GLE 53 Coupe.

Here's the short version:

The AMG GLE 53 Coupe is the clear choice if you want the strongest blend of performance, technology, and style in this lineup. It brings the turbocharged inline-six, EQ Boost, AMG performance hardware, and the high-end cabin presentation that define this model year.

Because there is only one trim level in the data, the main decision is whether you want this coupe body style at all. If you do, this is the version to target; if you want more utility, the cost-effectiveness notes point you toward the standard GLE instead.

The safety content notes that the Driver Assistance Package adds 15 additional systems, so look for that package if you want the most complete feature set.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLE?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 36.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,539 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.44% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 87.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $40,112, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLE's resale value?

The current average of $40,157 sits slightly below last year's $45,344.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy more confidently now but may also limit upside if you plan to sell soon. For a future seller, the softer trend means you should expect resale value to depend more heavily on condition, mileage, and equipment than on broad market momentum.

Well-kept examples with desirable options should still draw interest, especially because this model has a strong user rating and a distinctive body style. Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.25/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLE safe?

The 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe is based on the standard GLE, which gets top safety ratings from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

It earns a 10/10 safety score from our experts.

Mercedes includes forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, forward automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, Pre Safe Sound, and Emergency Call Service as standard equipment. If you want the full suite, the Driver Assistance Package adds 15 additional systems, including Traffic Jam Assist, Active Lane Change Assist, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability, route-based speed adaptation, and Active Emergency Stop Assist.

The main caveat is that advanced safety features are not standard, so you should confirm whether a used example has the package you want.

Should I buy a 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLE or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 36.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.44% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.25/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• The year’s standout strengths are its powerful engine and impressive technology.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $37,813, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $40,157 average.
• It emphasizes comfort and technology with multiple powertrain choices.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $48,450, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $40,157 average.
• It adds a polished cabin and a key efficiency-focused hybrid option.

The bottom line: If you want the most distinctive styling and strong tech in this price band, the 2022 is the better target. If you’re more price-sensitive, the 2021 is the value play; if you want a newer-feeling, more polished direction and can spend more, the 2023 is the upgrade path.
