About 2022 MINI Cooper Clubman
The MINI brand offers a lineup of agile runabouts with plucky styling. If you love the driving dynamics of the MINI Cooper, but you need more space for passengers and gear, the MINI Cooper Clubman offers four doors and up to 47.9 cubic feet of cargo space accessed via unique rear barn doors. For the 2022 model year, the Clubman gains a larger standard infotainment screen and standard lane departure warning. Buyers can select from Classic, Signature, and Iconic trims. The Classic trim comes standard with synthetic leather upholstery, heated seats, a heated steering wheel, and an 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Moving up to the Signature trim adds dual-zone automatic climate control, ambient cabin lighting, and Apple CarPlay (but no Android Auto). The Signature trim also offers the option of MINI’s “signature” contrasting roof design. The Iconic trim adds genuine leather upholstery, navigation, a head-up display, a panoramic sunroof, and a Harman Kardon premium stereo system. MINI offers a choice of two twin-turbo 2.0-liter four-cylinder engines with varying power outputs. In the Cooper S, the engine makes 189 horsepower and 206 pound-feet of torque. For the John Cooper Works, it’s tuned to put out a lively 301 horsepower and 331 pound-feet of torque. The Clubman S routes power to the front wheels through a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. The all-wheel drive Clubman S All4 can be had with either a 6-speed manual or an 8-speed automatic transmission. The Clubman JCW All4 is only available with the 8-speed automatic. The most efficient Clubman configuration is the front-wheel-drive Clubman S, which returns 25 mpg city, 35 highway, and 29 combined. The Clubman JCW All4 is the least efficient, returning 23 mpg city, 31 highway, and 26 combined. Standard safety features on the Clubman include forward collision avoidance, automatic emergency braking, rear parking sensors, and the newly standard lane departure warning. Selecting the manual transmission removes the automatic braking system. Optional safety features include adaptive cruise control, front parking sensors, and adaptive headlights. Base MSRP for the 2022 MINI Cooper Clubman S starts at $29,900. The Signature trim adds $4,600 to that price, while the Ionic trim adds $9,500. The Clubman S All4 starts at $32,900. The Signature adds $3,600 and the Iconic adds $8,500. The John Cooper Works All4 starts at $39,500. Selecting the Signature trim tacks on another $3,400 to this price, and the Iconic trim increases the price by $7,900.
