Used 2022 Kia Telluride for Sale nearToledo, OH

How much does the 2022 Kia Telluride cost?

Prices have softened 14.59% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 4,061 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for shoppers comparing prices and trims.

Is the 2022 Kia Telluride a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Kia Telluride earns a 4.6/5 user rating and an 8.8/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 10/10.

Owners consistently praise its value, luxurious features, and spacious interior, and they also highlight its safety features and smooth ride. In use, that lines up well with the Telluride’s role as a midsize three-row crossover SUV that aims to feel more upscale than its price suggests. The main trade-offs are some frustrating features and the lack of wireless Android Auto.

Good and great deals account for 37.6% of listings, which is a healthy sign that you can still find competitive offers.

Is the 2022 Kia Telluride reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that feels dependable, with many drivers describing it as a strong value and a family-friendly SUV they can count on. The expert review also emphasizes its long-distance comfort and overall composure, which supports the impression of a well-sorted daily driver. Kia’s complimentary one-year Kia Connect trial and strong warranty coverage add another ownership advantage.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that some frustrating tech and build-quality issues may show up over time, so condition matters.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Kia Telluride?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 80.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because a clean listing percentage does not replace a proper records review. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on interior condition, electronics, and any signs of uneven wear. Since owner feedback mentions build-quality concerns and missing wireless Android Auto, make sure the features and trim equipment match the listing.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LX, S, EX, and SX trims differ in equipment, and the base version misses some of the added convenience and tech you get as you move up the range.
• Powertrain: The Telluride uses a 291-horsepower 3.8-liter V6 with an eight-speed automatic transmission, and AWD is available if you want extra traction.
• Safety package: Kia Drive Wise includes forward-collision warning with pedestrian and cyclist detection, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, and adaptive cruise control with curve speed reduction. Highway Driving Assist is standard, and Safe Exit Assist is included as well.
• Infotainment: Every Telluride gets a 10.25-inch touchscreen with navigation and voice recognition, but wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are no longer available.
• Fuel efficiency: The Telluride returned 21 mpg in combined driving in testing, and the EPA number is 23 mpg with front-wheel drive.

Which 2022 Kia Telluride trim should I buy?

The 2022 Kia Telluride is offered in 4 trim levels: LX, S, EX, SX.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the entry point, so it makes sense if you want the Telluride’s core space, style, and safety without paying for extra comfort or convenience features.
• S: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds meaningful everyday equipment, including a standard wireless smartphone charger, while staying below the upper trims.
• EX: Choose this if you want a more upscale feel and more comfort-oriented equipment without jumping all the way to the top trim.
• SX: This is the most feature-rich version, and it suits you if you want the fullest Telluride experience with the most premium equipment.

Kia Drive Wise safety features are standard across the lineup, so you do not need to move up a trim just to get the core driver-assistance package.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Kia Telluride?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market.

• Deal availability: 37.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 4,061 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.59% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 80.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $25,928, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Kia Telluride's resale value?

The current average of $25,928 sits slightly below last year's $30,356.

That price drop suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable point in the cycle. For a future seller, it also means resale value may depend more heavily on condition, mileage, and trim than on broad market momentum alone. Well-kept examples with desirable equipment should still draw attention, especially if they present cleanly and have a strong history.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Kia Telluride safe?

The 2022 Telluride earns a five-star overall rating from NHTSA, with four-star ratings for driver and front-passenger frontal-impact protection. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety gave it a Top Safety Pick designation.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Kia Drive Wise is the standard driver-assistance suite, and it includes forward-collision warning with pedestrian and cyclist detection, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, and adaptive cruise control with curve speed reduction. Highway Driving Assist is also standard, and Safe Exit Assist helps warn occupants about approaching traffic or cyclists before they open a door.

The main caveat is that it missed the higher Top Safety Pick+ award because of less-than-stellar headlight ratings.

Should I buy a 2022 Kia Telluride or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 37.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 80.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.59% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2022 adds more standard equipment, including a larger standard touchscreen and more driver-assistance tech.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $22,580, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $25,928 average.
• It offers a premium-feeling three-row SUV with strong value and a stylish design.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $31,365, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $25,928 average.
• It adds minor styling updates, new technologies, and X-Line/X-Pro trims with more off-road attitude.

The bottom line: If you want the best mix of value, standard equipment, and strong owner satisfaction, the 2022 is the smart middle ground. If your budget is tighter, the 2021 can save you money while still delivering the Telluride’s core appeal. If you want the newest updates and can spend more, the 2023 is the better fit.
