Is the 2022 Jeep Gladiator a good car?

Generally — the 2022 Jeep Gladiator earns a 4.2/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its rugged style, off-road capability, and unique design, and many also like its towing capacity. The tradeoff is that some shoppers feel the interior comfort and value are weaker than they should be for the price, so it fits you best if you want character and versatility more than a conventional midsize-truck experience. With 36.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 Jeep Gladiator reliable?

Owners rate it 4.2/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a truck that many people enjoy living with over time, especially because of its rugged, dependable personality and strong appeal for adventure-focused use. The same reviews also suggest that you should expect some compromises in comfort and value, so long-term ownership is best approached with realistic expectations. For used buyers, that means the biggest risk is not outright appeal, but whether the specific truck has been maintained well enough to match its demanding lifestyle.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Jeep Gladiator?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on every candidate, even if the listing looks clean at first glance. Prioritize a thorough inspection of the suspension, body condition, and interior wear, since this model’s adventurous use can show up in the details. Focus on how the truck was treated, not just how it looks in photos, because condition matters a lot when you’re buying a vehicle built for off-road use.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Jeep Gladiator?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 36.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 5,186 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.12% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 86.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $31,286, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Jeep Gladiator's resale value?

The current average of $31,286 sits slightly below last year's $34,428.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy at a better entry point today. For a future seller, it also means you should pay close attention to purchase price and condition, because both will shape how much value you can recover later. A well-kept truck with broad buyer appeal should still be easier to move than one with visible wear or a rough history.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.2/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Jeep Gladiator or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 36.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.12% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.2/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $30,405, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $31,286 average.
• It adds more personalization and adventure appeal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $33,686, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $31,286 average.
• It offers stronger towing and payload capability.

The bottom line: The 2022 is the best all-around path if you want a balance of price, owner satisfaction, and available inventory. If you’re more price-sensitive, the 2021 is the better value play, while the 2023 makes sense if you’re willing to pay more for added capability.
